This past summer as I look back at the cherished time I realize what a gift I gave myself. I took the time to be outside and enjoy the fine weather as much as physically possible. It was my first summer without young children. It was my first summer without an elder to be concerned about. It was my first summer of freedom. Though the time alone is bittersweet it is the permission that I granted myself to go out exploring that I now treasure as a gift recieved.
As I look at the pictures that I took througout the warm days, and balmy evenings I can still bask in the sweet feeling of sunlight on my face, and a calm ocean breeze encasing me.
Nature has a way of reminding us about how precious time can be.
