The Balanced Life - The Mind

Posted Feb 25, 2009 04:07 PM
The mind is the most incredible thing in that what it can perceive, so can it achieve. You have the ability, through changing your perception of any given situation, to change not only your emotions, but also the situation!

Most everyone has heard of “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. It is based on the concept of the law of attraction. This states that what we think about the most will actually happen. For example, if we are worrying about having too many bills, that is exactly what we will get – MORE bills! If you are constantly thinking about what you would like in your life, you WILL manifest those exact things. The choice is yours. One of the ways that you can achieve balance of the mind is by self motivating. If you are going to wait around for others to motivate you, then I would say you have a long wait!

Learn how to self motivate. The sense of accomplishment in your life will be greatly enhanced by learning how this very important concept works. Having your mind be in balance with the rest of your life can also be achieved through meditation. It is similar to strengthening your muscles through physical exercise. You can strengthen your mind by telling IT what to think about – not having it tell YOU what to think about.

As with all three areas in your life, meditation is directly linked to our third category, Spirit, which will be discussed in the next blog.

I totally agree with what you say in the balanced life. My problem is to passionately incorporate the positive affirmations in my life, without my old negative thinking taking over the positive thoughts while I am trying to reach a state of meditation. I believe that manifestation is possible if you can think postive and put whatever it is I am trying to manifest out there, but then I start to second guess myself because I don't think I am truly convinced that it will happen. I don't want to think negative anymore. I want to succeed. Prosperity is my number one goal. What can I do?
Hi Cindy,

Thank you for your comment on my blog regarding the making of a website. It must be grueling, mind-boggling...sort of like giving birth!

Your website is wonderful, I've added it to my "Creative Sites" bucket.

Just today, I picked up a book someone loaned me...I have many sitting on the shelf and as my intuitive sense calls me, I choose one to read. This one you may enjoy. "Learning to Fall" by Phillip Simmons.
He was a mountain climber struck by Lou Gehrig's disease. Truly amazing!

Namaste,
Hi Cindy,

Your comments are insightful and I look forward to your next blog...Mind, body and spirit are things I want to learn more about...

Hi Cindy,

Having balance all areas of your life is so important to personal success and happiness.

I love the last line...a very inspiring call to action and awareness.
