Something to think about
6 Comments
Hi Jean, Well, let me think for a moment. I guess I'd add to the thoughts here that 'what contributed to who I am' could also be, generally speaking, one's upbringing, environment, positive or negative life experiences, the degree thereof, influences, work, interpersonal relationships, schooling, parental / peer support, etc. not to mention the availability or not, alas, of money to pursue various goals and dreams. If there's too much negativity it would stunt one's personal growth and development and thus hinder that person from beng all that they could be. Sometimes that can happen through no fault of their own. They may just give up trying. Yet, were their circumstances improved, their spirits uplifted, their morale, self-esteem, and self-confidence improve, their lifestyle would be better.. Yes, it certainly is something to think about. What did in fact contribute to who we are today? What brought us to this site for example? We're BraveHeart Women. How did we get here...and aren't you glad we are here? I think we've got to find more and more women to extend that opportunity to. You've certainly given food for thought, Jean... All the best, Laura Hi Jean, One of the most important things....that keeps me going and in gratitude.....is knowing without a doubt that all that is my life is me. Without the challenges and the triumphs, my life would have not been the same and I would not be the same. I am a sum of my parts. The difficult times.....I would never trade....I have learned so much and received soooooooooo much from them Love Debra The Honor Your TruthCommunity It is fun and profound to realize that we are each other and our environment... Swirls of energies... Gives us a deeper and profound reason to be caring and compassionate and engaging... Lili Hi Jean, I happen to love this topic also Angeliis Hello Jean, I am new here and thanks for befriending me. I love your artwork. How talented you are. Very interesting question.......I am constantly learning who I am......and I agree with all that you have said. Some events in life define us more than others. The death of my beloved husband and soulmate two years ago has most definitely impacted my thought process and has re-defined who I am today. Yet, as you said, every event of life has made us who we are but it is when we are alone that we truly realize who we are and the impact of these events. God Bless! Hi Jean What an intriguing question that is, "what contributed to WHO AM I?" I am every situation, event, choice that I have made in my life. Along with all the people, places, and things that I have touched, encountered, heard and seen in my life. I am the spirit that God made in living color. Rebecca Hofeldt Horse Lovers - Free Spirit
