Do You Have Self-Discipline??

It feels good to do what I say for one day.

It feels amazing to do it for one week.

When I do it for one month, there is no stopping me. I have proven to myself that I can count on my ability to say "yes or no".

All anyone needs to be excellent at anything is the feeling of I can.

It’s a rush. It’s better than getting something for free - it’s better than getting something without putting the effort in. Why? Because you did it and it makes it so you know you can do it again. Nothing is more powerful than that!!

How does it start, where do you begin? How do you get the feeling of I can?

Begin with one thing. Use exercising, meditating, eating more vegetables, anything you would like to do more of. Begin with once a week, then maybe twice a week, then the next week it gets easier. Create a schedule and by the third week you feel energized and happy, the fourth week your feeling like hot stuff, and the fifth watch out world...you can do anything! Commit to five weeks of this new practice and do it no matter what. Apply this to any practice. Eat one food that’s healthy instead of one that isn’t…for a week. Don’t smoke one cigarette that you normally do after food, or when waking up, or whenever...

Do anything for a week, or stop doing something you have wanted to stop - for one week, and notice how you feel about yourself and life after just seven days pass. Something changes. Start noticing how good it feels to exercise your will power over your own desires and watch the magic as you begin to respect yourself in a way you have always wanted others to. It fills your cup so you don’t have to look for someone else to make you feel good. You look in the mirror and smile!

Accomplishment is a great source of satisfaction and joy for people who have a tendency to be depressed. The cool thing is you don’t need anyone else to succeed at this practice. And, it is a practice; you will blow it once in a while. So what, get started again and again and never give up on YOURSELF!

When you succeed it’s a great feeling, it’s all about you; you did it, you created it, you were in charge of the whole deal! It is SOOO fulfilling when you say you are going to do something and you do it without someone threatening you, or controlling you into doing it.

When you can take your success and own it, without giving the credit to anyone outside of you, you become stronger, you believe in yourself, a new you shows up. This is the beginning of a new awareness, a new power that leads to a happy and exciting life. Take on a challenge, just for fun; be amazed as you discover the secret to success. You challenge you, and guess who wins!

If I had to choose one ability to live my life with...it would be self-discipline. That’s all you need to create anything you desire!

I'm a positive person and follow through with most every area where I really value self dicipline......exceptin one area. I consistently fail. what I do then, is to try again tomorrow, and forgive myself, then try all over again the next day.
I have improved greatly over the past 3 years, but some things are a real struggle. You can care or you can be the "Queen of Denile" Once you stop the denial your struggle may begin, but I'm ready for the fight.

Holly, what a wonderful blog!

I don't remember who said "Discipline is remembering what you really want."

It helps to focus on the positive of what I want, like health and vitality, rather than what I don't (flab), but what I really want is that feeling of "I can," empowerment.

What I get out of the journey can be more valuable to me than the destination. Yes, I can! (To borrow a phrase ;) )
