Are You Trying To FIX Everyone & Everything?: The Magic of Seeing!
Thank you Holly, that's a great post. I was happy to see and read it. I've been in the mental health treatment field, as a therapist and administrator, for 30 + years. I was trained to "fix"...which fit nicely with my then view of myself as "broken." Over the years my message to myself and others evolved from what I was trained to see, to what I now know: reality is; we each are as we are; change is constant; each moment is unique; and given these truths, love (God by any name) is the constant! I recently was talking with a friend and we discussed holding a light so that others may find their peace in that light. No bending forward to offer it, no chasing someone around to get them to see. Just sit quietly and wait for them to light their candle if they choose to. I found that to be very profound. I have in the past wanted to help so badly that I said to much and you just lose them. It is so much easier to just hold the candle and if they choose to light their's from yours we all illumiate each other. Love your post it is so true. Thank you for sharing. A very beautiful expression of truth!! Thankyou for sharing....Love and Light...Dayna Thank you Holly. What a beautiful post and a wonderful reminder about the power of being positive and in gratitude for all we recieve in our lives. Cheers Maggie Wow. A powerful reminder. SOOO often I see women ruining their own lives because they are so focused on "fixing" everyone and everything else and not realizing how negative it is. Thank you! Dear Holly, thank you for this post !!! It has been my experience that the feeling that I need to fix....that I can fix....everything... is not only completely exhausting....it is grandiosity......I have realized that the kinder thing is to allow people to have their own journey...their own process...not save them from themselves...to think that I can....to celebrate the positive and focus on myself and what I can do to be of service.....by being more of me...true to who I am... "Imagine a world where we appreciate one another as we are".....I love this!!!! Imagine .being who we are meant to be...who we are....the peace in ourselves and in the world! Sincerely, Debra The Honor Your Truth Community Hi Holly, I totally agree with you! This is a very good reminder to all of us. Thank you for this beautiful blog. All the best! Saanva/Salvacion Holly, I am so grateful for this post. It is always good to have a reminder. Pay attention to he goodness in people. That simple little act has helped me to mend so much that appeared to be broken. So simple yet so very powerful. Robin Buckley Hello Holly, GREAT words of advice...!!! Focusing on the negative only creates more negative energy. When we focus on the positive goodness of our world, we create positive vibrations for a grateful peaceful flow in life. Thank you for sharing your appreciation for the goodness around you.... Linda Kay Holden New Beginnings Community Holly Great Post - Great Wisdom - Great words of Advice! We certainly have the power to see the World through loving and compassionate eyes - full of acceptance. Nothing has meaning except for the meaning that we choose to give it. Life really is all in the eyes of the beholder Thanks for these words especially: Imagine a world where we appreciate one another as we are. We stop blaming and take time to discover the goodness in one another. Putting more of our awareness on what is wonderful opens doors in everyone's hearts. People become empowered just by being in the presence of this. A few moments of attention on the goodness in our partners, our leaders, and in ourselves will multiply the goodness in our world. We can wake in the morning and notice joy, in the flowers, trees, clouds, and the song of the bird. It is in the mirror, waiting for us to acknowledge it. Being present with what is raises the vibration around us and actually offers the opportunity for life to transform Are you participating in my HUGGING EXPERIMENT? To Your Total Wellness, Dr. Sugar Your own Community Doctor- Isn’t that Sweet!! Hi Holly, I agree with you on this topic all the way. It does makes sense to look around us and see the World for which it is, was, and is going to be. It is a Beautiful World if only we use our eyes to see all the wonderful creations that God has already made instead of trying to fix or change the nature of things. The flowers, the smell of roses, the trees, birds, sky, moon, the stars is all so magnificent within itself. These are all soothing, soul inspirational things to look at and admire, and Thank God for. I feel like we have strong leadership here in America, so let look for the good we can see in them instead of always finding fault you are right about this also Holly. Holly you are truly a BraveHeartWomen. Thanks for sharing this topic with all the rest of the BraveHeart Women. Thank you SO much for posting this-it is on the mark and for me a brilliant reminder! - Eva Holly, You are definitely adding positive energy! Thanks for a beautiful post with so much wisdom! It ties together why gratitude is so important and how the Law of Attraction says we get more of what we attend to. And anyway, we can only change ourselves. And for changing things, wasn't it Mother Teresa who said that she wouldn't come to an anti-war rally, but be happy to attend a pro peace one? It's what you look at and how you look at it.
