The Three Doors

Posted May 26, 2009 11:19 AM
Everyday situations can challenge us all. I came upon this "teaching" recently and thought to share it~

If you find you have lost your cool in a situation where something or someone is "pushing your buttons" you can use one of three "doors" to get it back.

Door number one is meeting force with force: You could choose to react to the situation with anger or frustration and / or engage in conflict.

Door number two is yielding: You could concede, ignore, "turn the other cheek "or simply withdraw.

Door number three is the best option however as this door offers a fresh new solution to choose from that is different every time.

The challenge ( and the fun) is to figure out what that is.....

A thought provoking post. Thank you. I have never been attracted to door number one, but as much as I understand about creative problem solving, I hadn't looked at it in quite this way. This way creates very clear directional signs, and decision making is easier. One can weigh the importance of the conflict and check out what opportunities may lie behind door number three.
Lord let me pick the right door...:-D
