Michael Jackson - His Legacy
2 Comments
Hi Chineme, My intention was only to point to the media and what they did and do to foster judgment and hatred based on some notion that Michael Jackson was somehow a threat to the status quo. I think what they are most afraid of is how bright his light was, as you aptly put it, "his strength and determination through all of that" Yesterday was a tribute to his talents, humanitarianism, and his gifts of Love and Peace to the world. That's the legacy that I believe he leaves in his wake and the world got to see that up close and personal yesterday instead of the picture the media would have us believe. Much Love, Kathy Hi Kathy, I too was extremely touched by the service which I thought was very beautiful and fitting. To say that "his death will probably have more of a positive impact than his life" I think is debatable. Sure, his musical legacy will live on forever, but what of his charitable giving? What of his personal connection with so many people around the world, whether they had met him or not? It was (and still is) certain elements of those within the media who loved to denigrate him and tried so hard to bring him down. His strength and determination through all of that showed him for the man that he was. I am hoping that that will be his legacy, especially to the youth the world over. Thanks for raising this. Love, Chineme
