"When Things Get Rough, it's Amazing how Willing we Become" --Byron Katie

Posted Apr 24, 2009 11:48 PM
Lately, I've had such a myriad of epiphany's coming through that its caused a myriad of "ego-thoughts" to rise up too.

I would like to believe that I'm not letting the negative thoughts "land" and become part of my belief of who I really am but it's been one big challenge!

My genuine intentions of what I really want and deserve for myself get subdued by what I've come to know as "limiting beliefs" of myself, aka, falsehoods. Arggggh, I hear: "I'm stupid, I'm wrong, I can't do that!" what if_______happens?!"

But, (and this is a BIG but) I am now really getting what the term "What is Is" and everything else is a lie. Acceptance of "what is" simply means I live in the present, in the now, and using my "right" mind to make intelligent decisions, without judgment and old, tired stories. It is also what LeighTaylor Young and Ellie touched on in their interview on BraveHeart TV.

This is a clip of Byron Katie. The link is to her website about "The Work". Enjoy.

In layman's terms, RELEASE is a cellular process of letting go of EVERYTHING, and I mean everything, that has physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually hurt and hindered you from living your life abundantly, richly, authentically, and outrageously well. At this moment, I feel light, free, grounded and alive! I want this for you too!70-554

The ego has a big bag of tricks. We must be dilagent not to fall for them.

Dear Rijuta,

It seems like when I take the stance of "putting my dukes up" or resisting those ego thoughts, the more they persist! (What we resist, persists).

Byron Katie's work and hearing Leigh Taylor Young and Ellie really helped to to understand on a deeper level that judgments and ego thoughts can be released through understanding of "what is, is" and not judging or buying into the egos' judgments... . letting my own Light shine.

I think Abraham-Hicks mentions something about going downstream instead of paddling upstream...go with the flow!

Isn't this fun!

Namaste,
Kathy
Dear Becky Stillsinging!

It really seems as though our physical lives are projections of the same thing....all we need do is remove the blocks (stories and ego)to who we really are....sometimes so simple, other times not! Life, ain't it fun?!

Thank you for your creativity!

Love and Light,

Kathy
OMG, Theresa, I just read that same thing (or similar) in another of his books, "Power Freedom and Grace" - Living from the Source of Lasting Happiness. And that same verse from the Bible came to me while reading it. There is so much power in that phrase, "Be still and know that I AM...God" (spaces mine - to emphasize how God IS, "I AM") and so are WE!! as we are created in their image! We are like a holographic projection of "I AM" experiencing all kinds of lives and experiences - and yet we have our own individual-ness as well. Pretty cool, huh? :-x

Love & Lots of Hugs,
Becky (still singing....LOL)
Hi Kathy,

When 'ego thoughts' begin to intrude into my consciousness, I simply take a deep breath, kick them out with the exhalation and repeat to myself, "I am the soul; I am the soul; I am the soul."

It works quickly once you believe it 'works'! ;)
Love,
Rijuta

Hi Theresa,

Thank you for your post and I treasure what you said about the still point. It's so valuable and I have been there.

That pureness only seems to follow when I can say, "What is, is" without judgment or guilt (ego).

Much Love and Light,

Kathy

Deborah,

I really hear you and am learning all about accepting what is...By the way, have you seen the latest video from Debra Hadraba? I love her duck analogy!

Love and Quack,

Dear Becky,

Thank you so much for your post.....yes, it IS good to know we're not alone! And, I love your "mantra"/song, I'm definitely going to try it!

Namaste,

Kathy
YEA! Kathy!!! Thank you for that encouraging post. It is nice to know that we are all in this together. Last night I had an epiphany of my own: THERE IS MORE THAN ENOUGH! It is one thing to have knowledge about a concept - but when you "GET IT" WOW - Nothing can stop you!!! I was going around the house singing "There is more than enough, there is more than enough, there is more than enough, there is more than enough. "There is more than enough, there is more than enough, there is more than enough, There IS MORE than ENOUGH!!" I went to bed with a smile clear across my face, and I am still singing and dancing in my head this morning.

Love,
Becky
My Motto:"When things get rough, put your ducks back in a row and start again or tie a knot in the rope that is about to run out and hang on for the ride.":-x because I don't have time for pity parties.:)

Hi Kathy,

I just want to share with you a paragraph I read from Deepak Chopras' book Seven Spiritual Laws of Sucess. When things get rough... it helps me. I hope it will inspire you in some way.

Sucess in life depends on knowing who we really are. When our internal reference point is our spirit - our true SELF, we experience all the power of our spirit. When our internal reference point is the ego or self-image, we feel cut off from our source, and the uncertainty of events creates fear and doubt. The ego is influenced by objects outside the Self - circumstances, people, and things. It thrives on the approval of others. it wants to control, because it lives in fear. But the ego is not who we really are. The ego is our social mask, it is the role we are playing.

The need for approval, the need to contol thing, and the need for external power are fear based. This kind of power is not the power of pure potentiality or the power of true self.

In the Bible is the expression "Be still, and know that I am God." Stillness is the first requirement for manifesting your desires, because in stillnesss you connect with the field of pure awareness and infinite organizing power.

Take time each day to be silent, to connect with your spirit - to just Be.

Warm hugs -- Theresa :-x
