In the past months, I have been trying to hold on to areas of my life that just were not working out the best for me. At the root of it, I was stuck in not wanting to let people down, and lacking the courage to move out of places, and circumstances, that are not serving me any longer. Those monster brothers, Anxiety and Fear, started to creep...step-by-step...in to my world in a stealth manner at first, hardly noticeable. Then, more recently, I was feeling the monster duo had me in a death grip. I felt like someone had set a house on my chest, and my throat was severely sore every afternoon and evening. I noticed that I did not laugh, at all…Joy gone from my life. A few weeks ago, I drew a line in the sand, and during the dark hours of the night, I put a new set of Intentions out to the Universe. It took only a few days… then my phone rang three times with new opportunities for me to make a change in one of my businesses. A week later, I picked up a new coaching account with some great people you will be meeting soon here on our BraveHeart site. Last night, on a whim, I stopped at a grocery store and rented the movie Mamma Mia. When I got home and put it in the DVD player, I soon heard an unusual sound….a sound I have not heard for awhile...it was me laughing! I watched the movie a second time, and this time sang along!! Thanks for sharing Lesley,my scarf lady. I do understand,because that duo has visited me also,but thank God they a are fading into the background.
I love the fact that you rented that movie and had some good laughs.Laughter is the best medicine and we should look for opportunities to practise this more often.Keep on laughing my friend.

The power of this community and you a BraveHeart woman, was felt by myself and my daughter this evening.

She has been going through some challenges of late but tonight everything seemed extra heavy for her.

I had just finished reading your post when she called me. I listened to all she had to say and asked if I could read your post to her.

What happened next was magical, I could feel her state of mind shifting, she was thinking clearer, her breathing had even changed.

Together we came up with some new intentions that she felt would serve her better. The best part was that the conversation ended with her laughter!

My goodness Lesley, How I could relate. I would love for you to go back to my question on my blog - then add to that - YOU DESERVE the little girl in YOU that YOU LOVED! I swear we are connected because I will be thinking about you and you appear.....I was thinking about you this morning and then I went to post and there you were......I can so relate to the monsters......Stephen King says that the best way to scare people is to keep the monsters IN the closet....you've let them out.....you be fine!!!! I have been a little off myself lately....judging myself like I fear others do.....worried about money and going back to work in Door County....ETC ETC ETC....which has of course done me absolutely no service at all.....nutso :-D

I can know something but I still try tro prove it wrong so I worried, and worried, and worried........and here I am same time, same channel.........I say to you....I let go of anxiety and fear....i release them...I was holding on like they were actually friends of mine......I'm funny...

Miss you....and hold you dear.....you're amazing!

I don't know why, but your story reminded me of the movie Rocky III- When he feels discouraged, that he is no longer any good, that he never was, but all because he is really afraid. His wife reminds him, that it is ok to loose, but to lose with no excuses and no fear, that he would be able to live with that.

What matters is what he believes about himself and that if he was going to fight to do it for the right reasons, not for the money or the fame but for him alone. And, then he wins!!!!!

Dear Lesley, be encouraged, and keep on fighting to win with no excuses and no fear!

Lesley, I know how Anxiety and Fear feels at times -- not the best place to be... But unfortunately, we all go through 'stages' to get to 'destinations'.

For the last couple of weeks I've been straggling with my own fears and anxieties and their best friends -- doubts and uncertainties.

But I lived long enough to know that, as Debra would say, 'they all shall be gone'. Nothing stays forever, doesn’t matter how good or bad. So I take those sat backs as a call for my soul search and try to find what is missing.

My best 'medication' that had worked for me for years -- is a trip to the mountains (45 min)... I don't know if that's the air or the serenity of Rocky Mountains - brings me back to...me.

Firs time I've seen the Mamma Mia was in Vegas a few year ago, and absolutely loved it too.
