Sacred Wisdom...13th Century Style

Posted Feb 25, 2009 12:18 AM
I was spending time in my library tonight looking for inspiration for a new blog post. I found something wonderful!

The writer Rumi is one of the most widely read poets in the world today - which is extraordinary, as he wrote in Persian in the 13th century.

There are things that are timeless. Enjoy!

Passion makes the old medicine new:
Passion lops off the bough of weariness.
Passion is the elixir that renews:
how can there be weariness
when passion is present?
Oh, don't sigh heavily from fatigue:
seek passion, seek passion, seek passion!

Lesley, Girl I just love your vibrant spirit!

Rumi is one of my favorite writers/poet/prophet of all times. He is up there with Kahlil Gibran in my book. Thanks for sharing.

Peace and Love,

Nazeelah
Lesley Thanks!! Rumi said it so well. I was looking at your community homepage and I absolutely love your definition of an "Unpackagable Spirit". It helped me define an area of myself so much better. :^O
Hi Lesley, you beautiful unpackageable spirit.

Hey, would you please post this Passion Poem in the Passion Branding Community. It's perfect there too.

It's gonna be a great day.

Hi Lesley,

I am with you on this one - some of the most amazing things were written way back when... and I know they are true as they could have been written just as easily yesterday.

Passion is what successful people use to forge forward even if they experience "setbacks".

Thank you for shaing!
