Puzzling Out My Life

For me life is like a crossword puzzle. Some answers fill in quickly and others take more time to figure out. One across or over as my mom likes to call it “what you were born to do?” Easy one, “WRITE.” Okay now one down, three letters beginning with “w” “one of you best qualities,” again easy, “WIT.”

I sometimes carry a crossword puzzle around for weeks picking it up from time to time, solving it bit by bit, finding even one answer that before eluded me is a cause for celebration.
I solve the puzzle of my life in much the same way. As some answers take shape other clues are solved. But solving the difficult more elusive ones require time, patience and possibly collaboration.

When only a few obscure unsolved clues remain in my crossword puzzle, I enlist Google’s help. I call this research, accepting what I don’t know and accepting help in finding my answers.

Google isn’t magic. Most times I have to turn the clue upside down, think of it in another way and eventually with a little luck I WILL find the answer.

Right now, I’m looking for a plum variety four letters beginning with “GA_ _.” In the crossword of my life, the clue I’m currently solving is seven letters “having it all.” Could it be “SUCCESS” “BALANCE” “VICTORY” or something yet to be discovered? Google, oh Google, what do you think?
