Clarity after Commitment and Christopher Columbus

Posted Feb 11, 2010 09:35 PM
We have been learning that clarity will come after we have truly committed. So what does that have to do with Christopher Columbus? Everything!:-x

I was reading today in the "Streams in the Desert" book that is a daily devotional and this is the line that caught my attention: "What a lesson Christopher Columbus taught the world - a lesson of perserverance in the face of tremendous difficulties". Did he not fully commit before he had any clarity. There was no way that he knew what he would find, after all the world was flat! That is a lesson in commitment!

If a person can have that type of commitment, dedication, faith, why don't we when we are facing any challenge or opportunity. The clarity will appear if we give it a chance.

As a reminder here is what Dr Ellie's Lesson in Ease card says about commitment: The voice of my own intuitive advice is in essence the voice of the Divine being channeled through me. When I hear it, I must commit to it. Those who seek a guarantee before they commit, don't realize the true meaning of commitment. Clarity will come, after I have genuinely committed.

Becky,
How true the statement "Clarity follows Commitment", and yet most of us tend to question...and then when we finally make the commitment and experience Clarity, its like we always knew...It is almost like the saying, Follow Your Heart. I know I did and here I am with Amazing Women like yourself in the BraveHeart Women Community. I pat myself on the back and say, "Good for me for Committing"!
Thanks for these thoughts my friend!
Love your BH Sister,
Darlene

So true ,I remember the first I heard that Clarity follows Commitment and thinking ...Huh How ? As I was having a struggle with a decision a few years ago ,and Dr.Sugar telling to sit in a quite place, way out the pros and cons and make my decision in the direction that felt good and then to make a full commitment to that decision and clarity would follow....and guess what the clarity followed and it was such a good eye opener .
Thank you Becky have a great weekend see ya in a few days !

Hi Rebecca,

Well...you certainly gave us all lots to think about. I love this deep thinking kind of topic. haha You state "that if a person can have that type of commitment , dedication, and faith..why don't we when we are facing challenge or opportunity.?" I think its FEAR for most. FEAR of the unknown. But I also think if one is truly determined to achieve a specific goal....Then regardless of what stands in their way ..They push through it all and reach their destination. Because they are determined to succeed. And when one is that determined..they are focused..and they will be successful. Because with that type of determination..comes belief in themselves , clarity of who they are ...and they don't worry about the outcome becuase their focus is positive..And as far as the "intuitive advice" as stated by Dr Ellie? That is the divine channeling through you thats why they always say to listen to those inner feelings or instincts. They never guide you wrong.

great topic Rebecca
thanks
Angeliis
