Paying Attention

Posted Jul 15, 2010 11:33 PM
I have been reading quite a few of the blogs posted here in the BraveHeart community especially the past few days. These have been catching my awareness alot as to what have I been thinking and feeling. Reading about being in Joy and not just happy, being persistant, Feelings, trusting in my higher self, looking for guidance. Its all here and I feel blessed that there are so many incredible and amazing women posting things so that we may all become more awake and aware of ourselves, our surroundings, our connections, our purpose and our world.

This morning I rode my bike for a mile and a half, then parked it in the garage...then I realized I had only ridden it half of what I usually do. By the look on my dogs face and his actions I know he knew we only went half the way too! I was so "busy" thinking about what all I wished to accomplish today that I was way ahead of myself, not focusing on things in the present moment. Made me stop and think a bit more about what perhaps I should make as priority and what might not be as important as I had let myself believe.

The point of all this is that I desire to be more aware of what I am doing, feeling, thinking in order to accomplish what I dream of being ,doing and having. When I or anyone finds themselves so far out and ahead of reality I don't believe we can truly create these things. I was reacting instead of being in active creation!

I appreciate all of you BraveHeart Women who share and contribute to the dream of this site and assist each of us as we go on this journey.

Dear Becky,

Thank you for sharing ... :-x ...

Life is a journey ... not a destination ... Even our dreams are not destinations because when one dream is achieved it IS replaced by another (perhaps higher) dream ... and so it goes ... higher and higher we climb [My favorite poem by Goethe - Das Welt ist immer spiralformig (or was it Die Welt ist immer spiralformich) - my version of what remains of my German language studies ... LOL!] ... always on A journey ... :-x ...

Even death is not the end to those of us who believe in an afterlife ...

Planning ... ah, therein lies a key ... For we must plan for our "end" ... leaving to those we love ALL we INTEND ... Good intentions are not enough ...

So, we ALL need a roadmap ... the WAY forward ... How do we get to ALL we dream of? ... The plan is more tangible than some seem to think ... I was taught to WRITE things down ... I comply once in a while, but having read The Jackrabbit Factor, perhaps ... just perhaps, I shall WRITE it all down ... ;) ...

I have always believed that money is the means, not the end ... and so, I have used it for what I believe in ... doing what I believe in ... and as I get to the tailend of my journey ... I now try to balance a LOT more goals ... I begin to see some things with a different perspective, I no longer think I have a VERY long time to achieve what it IS I choose to achieve ... I realize that time IS of the essence ... whether 20 more productive years ... or maybe more, maybe less ... The "end" becomes more visible ... and something we ALL need to always be aware of ... we don't know when our time is up ...

And, lest I go on ... I best end this response post ...

With much gratitude, respect, and many blessings ... :-x ...

HI Rebecca,

I also loved what you said specifically ..."I desire to be more aware of what I am doing, feeling, thinking in order to accomplish what I dream of being ,doing and having."

WoW and WoW!!
What great inspiration, revelation and insight you have shared. Thank you for being free enough and authentic enough, and willing to be transparent and open. You have truly blessed and encouraged my soul and my spirit.

Here at this community, a mighty reservoir of BraveHeart women have come together to share their lives and their wisdom with others around the world. What a blessing it is to be among such a company of great women.

I too desire to live my life with joy. I don't want to have to wait for a instance to "happen" that would bring me happiness.

In this age and stage of my life, I realized that I am the creator of "MY " happiness not others. When I have allowed others to make me "unhappy" then I have given up too much power. Trusting in my own internal GPA system has guided me and led me on the path of joy and peace.

I agree that it is vital to live on purpose and live with intention. Without a direct vision of what you want for your life, you will never fulfil your heart's desire.

We are co-Creators with God. I believe that I am his child and that His divine Spirit resides in me,. therefore I walk and live with a God consciousness.

Keep on doing what you are doing my sister. Continue to be a blessing to your fellow BraveHeart Sisters. I wish you God's best eternally.

Grace and Peace to You
Brenda
Isn't it amazing that we not only think ahead, but think too much, putting all kinds of pressures and expectations on ourselves, even in the middle of fulfilling healthy ambitions such as exercising? The sharing of experiences reminds us to live in our moments and give ourselves credit for living with midnful purpose.
Becky, thank you for your heart awakening message today.
I have the tendency to think ahead of myself.
Sometimes I really don't take time to enjoy the moment. I have the tendency to not complete some journeys that I start because I think too far ahead. Like you did this morning, I sometimes do. I end up going only half way. I hope that make sense.

Bottom line. I need to stay focused, go all the way. and enjoy the present. What do you think?
Have a blessed day. Poetress.
Well Good Morning and Happy Friday! It sounds like you are all about living "on purpose" and with "intention". Excellent. A great resource I found was Mary Anne Radmacher's book: Lean Forward Into Your Life: Begin Each Day As if It Were on Purpose" -- good, practical stuff. She's been quite an inspiration to me!

I'm glad you were to in the moment that you noticed right away you'd only made half the trip... I'd still be looking for the garage!

Be well!
Hi Becky,

Your words have so much truth and bring light and realization to us.
Being more aware of where we are, what we are doing and why we are doing it is valuable to us as we journey forward in our purpose and our world.

Love your thoughts...but particularly...
...I desire to be more aware of what I am doing, feeling, thinking in order to accomplish what I dream of being ,doing and having. When I or anyone finds themselves so far out and ahead of reality I don't believe we can truly create these things. I was reacting instead of being in active creation!

In Gratitude for your 'active creation' of beauty from your heart in the writing of your words. :-x
