In Sight

Posted Nov 11, 2010 08:58 PM
I can begin to see
As if seeing the light
Through the door that
has just been opened a crack
Allowing enough room/vision
for a peek
I feel the presence of something
More than I can see it
Nothing is clear
There is only a hint of
Knowing there is something more, beyond me,
beyond my grasp, my existence
My attempts to push the
door open farther is met
with resistance
an unseen opponent
Do I dare try to see what is
holding me back? Do I
push harder?
WHAT IF, WHAT IF
what if I see the light
Will I be happier, more prosperous
more caring, more loved, what will I be?
What if I close the door, what will happen then?
Will I remain here, stuck, empty
stagnant
Will the door ever be there again
Is it closed for eternity
Only if I push it open may I see
above and beyond

Hi Sonja
Thank you for your kind words. I am "humbled" while grateful to be able to serve a greater good. Please feel free to use my poem in your work!

Yes!! ...Yes!! ....it is truly beautiful! This inspires me greatly!! This type of poetry causes the reader to "THINK" of heavenly substance in a questioning way drawing attention to the fact that "we are going somewhere, but where, ...and should that door be closed ...then what!?
Earlyon before gospel song writing, I wrote a few poems to family on special occassions, but when the song writing emerged the poems were left for a time!
But now as a fairly new BraveHeart I am already being directed back to something that "is there" and is being i n s p i r e d and s t i r r e d up in my spirit once again.
Perhaps this is a good place to say THANK YOU!!!!
I really appreciate you and your gift, I promise I will ask the Lord for a poem and then show it to you!! Truly there is no end to creativity once it "kicks in"!!!

Even at this very moment I am seeing your poem as
preaching and teaching subject matter,, all I would have to do is add the scripture verses!!! This is soooo exciting!! And thank you for your wonderful comment!!! If I were to use your poem in preaching, would you mind!!?? Sonja
Beautiful!
