Stop Looking at things backwards

Posted Oct 28, 2010 05:56 PM
There are times in our lives when suddenly we have that shocking realization or the big AHA moment/minute. For me today when I was on a phone conversation with a business person I had a big awakening. To stop looking at things backwards, as if looking in the rear view mirror!

One of the things that most of us are guilty of is looking at our debts as a negative situation or issue. Well instead of looking at it this way we should look at them as a piece of Joy. That is right JOY. For my "debts" have allowed me to do some things that at the time at least gave me joy or provided something I required at the time.

While I still pursue my goals of being "debt free" or "financially independent" I can choose to look at the debt in a more grateful mode than the negative that normally surrounds any debt we owe. A debt of gratitude instead. It is forward thinking instead of backward thinking. Just one of many ways we can change our frame of mind.

Stop looking backwards and progress forward.

A sacred text declares, "Owe no man anything but to love him..." Using the perspective of Joy will keep us focused on staying positive about debt and with bill collectors.

Thank You for sharing this Rebecca!
