My Wallet Has A Hole In It

Posted Feb 12, 2010 04:39 PM
I've gotten in quite a pickle
(My affairs look like those of the state of the union
United we are!)
My stream of income is but a trickle
While someone has opened the flood gates of expenses
We robbed Peter to pay Paul
Now the debtors won't cease to call
I went to the wishing well
It was dry, with nothing to tell
I'm plugging the holes as best I can
While working on an income plan
Around my wallet I build a Dam
Now Rich again, Yes I AM

I suspect that there are some people out there who can in these times relate to this poem. I encourage you to work on ways to put your income to work for you. Take some money management classes or read books that aid you in understanding how money works, how to handle and plan. One of the books I really enjoyed was "The Richest Man in Babylon".

By the way have you ever seen a little joke stuck in a poem?!]:) There are times when we just have to laugh, pick up our panties and Live life.

Becky,
I find these thoughts timely. I enjoyed your comment about Pick up your Panties and live life. This is a term that I actually shared with a very good friend of mine not too long ago in relation to dealing with a particular challenge, but I added that I just "pulled up my Big Girl Panties, and Let It Go."
As for your Money story, I am in total agreement and it centers I believe around our attachment to money. Money has its own energy and we either attract it or deter it. The Richest Man in Babylon is a fantastic book, and you have now reminded me that I must get that back from someone I lent it to....
Happy Valentine's Day my Beautiful BH Sister!!!

Dear Rebecca,

Again you have written a "True to Life" Poem .

I Love It!

All the comments are incredible too.

I have been working on the meat of this subject for a while now since i have been unable to work going on 5 years now.

I know that i am not rich in $ but i do have an Abundance in other areas. I am trying to build my Dam around my wallet too.

Thank you for Shining a light into our Economic Situation that we are all facing in Every Nation.

Many Blessings with Love & Light,

Rebecca!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are fantasticly creative my dear friend.!!! I absolutely loved that poem and can SOOOOOOOOOO relate. I love how you put a little laughter in with such a true to life situation for so many. You are right .. Sometimes we have to laugh .. because the only other alternative would be to cry haha.... Also..funny you should mention to read some books regarding money and plan.. I started out reading quite a few books by Robert Kyosaki ( Rich Dad Poor Dad) and then made my way to reading his wifes book.. ( Rich Woman). Very informative information and great guidelines for getting started in to the path of financial freedom.
So great advice my dear friend along with very talented creative ability and humor. I loved it!!!!!! You are so inspiring.. I am glad we met. <smile>
