What's that Tune?

Posted Oct 29, 2010 11:15 AM
Do you ever get those songs or tunes playing in your head and you can't seem to stop them? Here is something a little bit different to think about. What is the "story" or "recording" that is always running in your head of why you Can't? There is something playing and you are tuned into it.

When you come to fully realize there is no excuse that works anymore is when you will make the biggest shift in your life. This is when you begin taking the next action step in the right direction of fulfilling and accomplishing your goals or dreams. To make your time and energy work for you.

Start today with listening to what you have been playing, if it is not what you feel is the right tune, it no longer is serving you then change that channel and plug into one that brings you JOY and an awakening to the real you.

Songworm is the word for songs that you can't get out of your head and you keep singing snippets of them over and over even though you are dying to stop. I sometimes wake up in the night with the silly things in my head.

I can only get songworms out of my head by replacing them with another song. One that has less of a chance of becoming a songworm for me.

One of my worst songworms is "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. I hate even writing it because I may start singing it in my head as a result. My favorite replacement song is "Happy Birthday to You." It works every time.

But my point is that it does make sense to stop the old recordings especially the ones that are driving you crazy and put a new tune in your head with words that bring joy, awakening, and add life to Living Your Dream! YES U CAN!

Oh my gosh, I love this! I must have heard a thousand times to change your tune, but none of them were worded exactly like this. It makes so much sense. And although this sounds incredibly easy, so many of us resist that option. I know I do and oddly, I can dish out the advise, but when it comes to myself, I freeze and wonder why I can't move forward. I constantly get stuck in the "things" of everyday life! I think I need professional biofeedback! :)
Thank you Rebecca! More true than you know! Joy can be found and reprogrammed into the mind through listening to music! Just helped a close friend defuse all the stress of his job! Never thought I'd have to learn all the "codes" of a mattress company....but as fear does enter the equation...about how is my mind gonna play Tamberine Man in my head while I stress about my performance..........how can it not! ;)
The codes are now musical notes and filled with all those wonderful experiences that filled your life with joy!
Open your heart, and bounce that energy around!
The body will carry joy all through the day!
