What the heck does...Learn To Be Your Own Wizard mean?

Posted May 18, 2009 11:57 AM
Good day ... I trust all is well ...

Having frequently used the line at the end of my writing " Learn To Be Your Own Wizard" ... I was encouraged to define the saying and share how that came about...

Over the years, I came to realize the many ways and circumstances, small and big, in which I (like many other women) had given my power away... I had in fact trusted someone else's opinion of me more than I had trusted my own... I put more faith in their ideas about what was in my best interest than I had put into my own... I was guilty of not trusting my own intuition... I would second guess myself ... and yet it is I who knows me better than anyone else.

How could they in fact have 100% clarity on my life picture, on what was true, authentic and right for me, if even I, was not sure???? ;)

What I realized was that I was having to learn some of life's lessons more than once, because I was not taking the time to connect to the real me, to get to know myself in depth, and trusting self ... so naturally the Universe had to get my attention in new ways ..:_|

When the messages came to me in the form of stronger negative experiences.. aka felt like I was being hit over the head with a two by four... I GOT IT!

It was time to sit, to examine where there were repetitive patterns, and to clue in to what was going on. I could no longer just depend on the logical head and the outside appearances. I needed to connect to my heart, my intuition, my Essence - my core.

Yes, it was fine to attend conferences, tap into the services of coaches, gurus and so called experts, but at the end of the day I still had to do what I felt was right... after all I am 100% responsible for my entire life experience (PS - that lesson was not a comfortable one to learn but it has been so liberating).

On a less intense level, I also came to realize that though a product, a service, a particular home business or an investment, was right for someone or even for many women... it might not be right for me because .. there are so many invisible factors that are not taken into account, when products and services are recommended, as these factors are in fact invisible... Mmmm!

So slowly but surely I came to the place where I take in the information, I ask a lot more questions, I mastermind with those who are on the path I want to be, I sit with it all till I gain more clarity (if it is something of greater significance - this is not about going into a case of paralysis by analysis) and then I act...

This process has allowed me to reclaim my sense of self, increase my self confidence and move forward with purpose, passion, and much inner peace. I have grown to accept myself and my Being.

More importantly I am manifesting more of what I desire to see, feel, and experience in my life!

Yes, there will be times I may still be walking through mud.. but I will be able to see it as simply the mud it is, and still remain centered and calm, and not turn mud into cement and therefore impeding progress.

Learning to Be Your Own Wizard is believing You have the inner resources that You can tap into and further develop...in order to move forward and create the life You want. It is about listening to Your quiet voice within, and connecting to Your inner wisdom!

Have yourself a fabulous day and learn to Be Your Own Wizard.

Lynette,
I feel as if you were writing about me, because I have experienced the same ruts, the same 2x4 experiences, the same awareness adjustments. Bravo!!!!

Well said, Lynette. There are many of us like you out there.

But all of the experiences we've had are there to serve us as we move forward. ... experiences where 'we walked the path' so we can be more authentic.

I wouldn't trade away any one of my experiences. They give me a unique understanding of situations... even as I relearn and EXPAND the understanding of some of them again.
