Are You Well Hydrated In Order To Perform Optimally?

Posted May 26, 2009 10:53 PM
Part of becoming all we can be is being in good physical health, and experiencing overall wellness.

"To understand water is to understand the cosmos, the marvels of nature, and life itself." Masaru Emoto in "The Hidden Messages of Water."

You are aware that you are made up of mostly water, however, have you actually stopped long enough to give that some serious thought, and see to it that you are well hydrated, in order to function optimally?

Personally, I went years where I did not consume enough water, and therefore experienced many of the symptoms of dehydration.

Slowly I started drinking more water, and last year I also learned the incredible value of adding a pinch of Himalayan salt (definitely not regular table salt), and 10 drops of trace minerals to my glass of water.

What a difference that has made to my sense of well being!

In my opinion, one of the most profound books on the topic of water is "The True Power of Water" by Masaru Emoto.

In his book Masaru not only describes the incredible properties of water and the effects water has on us and our health. But he also speaks of the effect each of us has on the water that surrounds us, and on the water within us.

That is right, you have an effect on the water around you and in you. Masaru's book is a very powerful and enlightening read.

Hello Lynette,
I have made it a positive to my own journey to read more and to read EVERYDAY. Now, I suppose that I should consider water to my daily intake. I doubt that I drink a glass full in a week or more of time. I am a huge coffee drinker and my skin is DRY DRY DRY! In fact, while at the Dr. today for other things, he said that my skin was thirsty. (hummmm, where did that come from) Some days, I retain fluid like crazy so I assume that I get enough. I am very big on juice and fruits, just not water. We had a water softener and a purifier (in the kitchen) put in last summer and everyone talks about how great our water is - just water to me.
I will get busy on that H20. ;) Perhaps it will assist my recovery from the back surgery too. Something to think about anyway.
Lovingly and with blessings,

Lynnette,

Water is the drink of life. It is the universal drink of the world. Nothing on our planet exists without water. Amazing isn't it that some people don't drink water everyday? I have been making sure to drink alkaline water each day, up to a gallon and it has made a big difference in how I feel and how my skin and all of my body feels more energetic. I will make this book one to read!
