Leeza Gibbons Interview

Posted Feb 5, 2009 09:26 AM
I so enjoyed the dialogue between Ellie and Leeza Gibbons. Perhaps it was because it reminded me on some level, of my own mother who passed away suddenly, at the age of 69.

I have always felt that my mother was in many ways, a misunderstood woman, a woman who had her own song but left it aside to attend to others. In my mind, she died with her music in her.

One of the lessons learned from my mother's passing and upon further reflection on her life, was the importance of honoring one self and going for what is important to you.

In order to honor oneself, and move towards what you desire it may take uncomfortable steps. Furthermore, it requires a healthy self esteem, self confidence and an understanding of who we really are. And all of that is something that is cultivated here in this BraveHeart Community.

Leeza leaves us with a great question: "What is your song?"

And I would add to that - "Are you willing to sing it?"

Do not die with your music in you!

Create a magical day for yourelf!

Hi Lynette

Yes, it is very important for us to sing our song! We must take our rights to live our life, sing our song :)

Thank you for this post

Lynette-

Thank you so much for sharing. I just lost my dad in June of last year. Much of what you are saying about your mother reminds me of my father. He's in the picture with me.

He had so many hopes, dreams and music within him. One thing he told me before passing is "Don't give up, keep moving forward!" "Don't live life with regrets" "Enjoy your life and live out your dreams"

That has been my driving motivation to press forward to my Destiny...
