Are You Making Time For Your Passion? - Passion Part 3

Posted May 11, 2009 09:32 AM
“The true definition of Success is to be happy and fulfilled.”

The last couple of blog posts we have looked at the question of passion…

#1. Discover what you want.

#2. Personify your passion – ask forgiveness for whatever way you have neglected your passion in the past, and move forward.

And today, #3 – Are you making time for your passion or are you letting your passion get distracted?

Our culture has often focused on time management in order to get more things done. However there is something a lot more empowering than time management and that is management of your emotions. When I learned the latter my life became more productive and less busy.

If you can get real honest with yourself and take time to sit and reflect on your pattern of being and reacting… you will get clues as to how you handle your emotions. The more grounded you can be, and the more you can let go of the emotions that are no longer serving you - such as feeling overwhelmed, regret, and impatience the more time and energy you will have to spend on your passion.

“The more intensely we feel about an idea or a goal, the more assuredly the idea, buried deep in our subconscious, will direct us along the path to its fulfillment.”
Earl NIghtingale

Exercise #3
Pull out your journal and …
What is currently occupying most of your attention and intention units? What is currently getting you emotionally distracted and taken off course?

Is there something you can let go of emotionally, that will allow you in the next 48 hours, to take an extra 30 minutes to put towards your passion? When will that 30 minutes take place and what will you be doing?

Hi Lynette, I remembering on my journey that it is important to understand our motivations of how our mind works in accordance to the complex mixtures of our emotions, which involves our ambitions, desires, fears and learning experiences.

So thank you for adding this statement to my journey.
