Are You Making Time to Quiet Down Internally?

Posted May 15, 2009 09:19 AM
Good day to You!

If you are spending most of your time in the doing energy, because let’s face it – in our western world the doing energy has been more valued up till now – sometimes you can get your self feeling overwhelmed, stressed out, tired and not feeling very good. Actually, your work environment often plays on your sentiments of guilt in order to get you to do more. That doesn’t help you either.

I have found that in order to increase one's level of personal empowerment, increase the feeling of internal peace and harmony, so one can in turn actually be more creative - you will need to bring into your daily life a Being practice.

Personally, when I take time at the beginning of my day to just Be, it actually sets the tone for the day, and helps me get focused, be concentrated, gain clarity, and in turn actually be more productive.

At the end of my day when I am being reflective, and writing, it gets me in a quieter place, it brings me inner peace once again, and therefore I can enjoy my night’s rest.

Have some fun discovering what will bring you that feeling of inner peace and calm ... the results you will reap will amaze you.

Dear Lynette,

Your 'making' the time at the beginning and end of each day to 'quiet down internally' is such a good reminder that we all need to nourish our inner environment.

We can also add 'mini' quiet times during the day whenever we really need to.
Just taking a moment to 'let go' makes less the 'load' we are carrying.

Thank you, Lynette. Such needed suggestions for all! :)
Gratitude.

Dear Lynette,
Wow - I agree about learning (and it IS something you have to teach yourself to do) to TAKE quiet time for yourself. Otherwise, you end up falling backwards rather than moving forward.

I am loving my quiet times now. It is no longer a 'chore.' :-p It is something that I look forward to. I usually do my regular Holosync meditation in the middle of the day. But changing to doing it first thing sounds like a good idea. Setting the stage/feeling for the rest of the day, so to speak. :-x

Last night, I was having a hard time falling asleep. So I looked through the other CD's that came with my Holosync package. I found a bonus CD, "Making Change Easy." So I listened to the first track on it. It was amazing how easy it was to go to sleep after doing that. I was so hyped up from my exhilarating breakthrough during my mid-day meditation session, that I needed something else to settle my mind so I could sleep. And I woke up feeling happy, and looking forward to my day.

I used to feel so guilty for taking time out for myself. My mind would race with things I "SHOULD or COULD" be doing to be productive. Little did I know then, that without taking that time for me, all of that 'doing' was just empty. There was no joy in it. It felt obligatory, like if I was not doing something I considered productive, I was being lazy.

I am so thankful and grateful for the loving support here at BraveHeart Women! And also, for Bill Harris, who supports all of us who have his program - and it was one of his emails that brought me here. :-D

I AM a BRAVEHEART Woman!!! :-x
