Personal Mastery - Are You Getting Your Day Started In A Powerful Way?

Posted Jan 16, 2009 12:45 AM
"Welcome every morning with a smile. Look on the new day as another special gift from your Creator, another golden opportunity to complete what you were unable to finish yesterday. Be a self-starter. Let your first hour set the theme of success and positive action that is certain to echo through your entire day. Today will never happen again. Don't waste it with a false start or no start at all. Your were not born to fail." Og Mandino

The first two business weeks of 2009 are almost done and here in Central Canada, the morning has started with a fresh -31 degrees Celsius - sparkling snow and a stillness that held incredible beauty in the first few hours of the day...

How you choose to begin your day will actually set the tone for the hours that follow...How do you choose to start your morning?

One of my favorite writers - Philip Humbert http://www.philiphumbert.com/ reminded me this morning of the following:

In order to make 2009 a Fine year, I will want to collect approximately 365 great days, and most days begin in the morning. So it follows that in order for me to have a great year, I must commit to having a good start to my morning.

Perhaps you choose to start the day with some exercise, perhaps you pray or meditate, maybe you write in your journal - whatever way you choose to start your day - make sure that it is right for you!

Give some thought to what gets you going and feeling good first thing in the morning, and do whatever you need to do, to ensure that you can execute your plan. This will enhance your self empowerment.

"You have got to get up every morning with determination if you are going to go to bed with satisfaction." George Lorimer

If we each create 365 wonderful mornings; the days, weeks, and months will take care of themselves. We will be able to increase our personal growth, and our transformation has a greater chance of unfolding.

I certainly agree with you that each day should begin to set the tone for the rest of the day and I begin my day with hope and my hope starts with prayer and reflection. I also enjoy Ellie Drake's Easier Done Than Said Transformation Program. (http://elliedrake.com/freebookoffer/). Everyone needs a plan to get their inspiration in action.

Dearest Lynette,

YES, I agree… The way you start your morning is very important! It sets the tone for your day!

“What you think about will eventually follow you…”

Lynette, I usually start my morning out “Singing My Song” in the shower… Yes, I’m a shower singer… It’s a little something I composed & it’s called, “Be Grateful”… Maybe, one day I’ll have enough courage to sing it for my BraveHeart Sisters... Then, I listen to Ellie Drake’s, “It’s Easier Done Than Said” Morning Affirmation CD. It’s truly Empowering, Uplifting & Nourishes my mind with positive thoughts. I also take a few minutes to write down what “I Appreciate” in my Life! And my commitment is 5 days a week…

Taking time for myself and focusing on things that FEEL GOOD is truly important, because that’s what I want to attract in my Life… Things that FEEL GOOD!

Each DAY is a Special “Gift”…

So, Thank You Lynette for sharing your words of wisdom with us and being a Bright Light in our BraveHeart Women Community.

From my Heart to Yours,
Bell Rushing
