Dear Lynette, Thank you for receiving my observations and comments in the spirit with which they were offered ...  ... No one (not even Ghandi) deserves a pass ... IF we are honest ... and IF we believe in TRUTH, then ALL things are worthy of comment and ... we ALL learn and grow from the input we open ourselves up to receiving ... I must confess, Ghandi dropped a notch in my book with that quote ... Namecalling, especially in the name of love is a contradiction and hypocrisy ... I am somewhat shocked by that quote ... Ghandi and most others who we hold up to honor and example sometimes disappoint us ... Such IS the human condition ... I say this because I AM a realist and I have lived more than 60 years and have seen "good" people make wrong choices ... I have seen "bad" people reformed ... Like YOU and a LOT of other folks with sooo much wisdom on these Blogs ... we LIVE with AWARENESS ... and TRUTH ... Reality EXISTS and we must always be mindful that people ARE people and ALL deserve to be understood ... For me, personally, I have learned that TRUTH is ALL POWERFUL and IF we speak it ... even when others may not expect it ... we redeem US ALL ... I hope you will accept my observation as just that ... I AM disappointed that a person like Ghandi who I sooo revered has dropped a notch in my personal assessment ... Since it IS his birthday, although TRUTH rises above ALL else ... I honor and celebrate ALL he DID provide the human species in the life of example he lived ... We honor him despite his flaws ... We recognize that man is not deity ... ...
