Ritual Divas - Why We Need To Have Fun!

Posted Sep 4, 2010 10:49 PM
Making time for fun in our personal development plan is crucial to our success. This was a hard concept for me to learn.:(

"Celebrate your success. Find some humor in your failures. Don't take yourself so seriously. Loosen up, and everybody around you will loosen up. Have fun." Sam Walton

Over the years, I have been reminded of a critical element of life, taking the time to have FUN, and making daily tasks enjoyable.

Did you know that laughter and fun help you to not only increase your sense of well-being but also increase your wealth creation?B-)

Canon said "Why would people want to buy from you if they don't enjoy doing so? Making what you have to sell fun to buy is simply taking the whole process one step further. If you can make your customers laugh, and excite them with your vision of what life can be, they are not going to walk into your outlets, but run into them. Running a successful business should be fun for you, and there's every reason why you should be able to communicate that sense of fun to your customers. Certainly, if you aren't having fun, you probably aren't running a successful business."

Having been a serious, detail oriented person for the majority of my working life, I appreciate being reminded to let go and choose the Fun path.

One of the essential elements in maintaining a positive healthy mindset is to take time out for laughter and fun. Any time we get too rigid about anything, even if it is something for our own good like exercise and time spent learning, we end up being too attached to a particular outcome.

This can also lead to feeling weighed down and walking around with a sensation of heaviness. This heavy feeling or vibration also gets communicated to others when we are interacting with them. People are already overburdened and overwhelmed; they certainly are not looking for more of the same from you or me.

Most of the things that occur in our life are there to teach us a lesson. Our friend Ellie says, "We will probably be laughing at this same stuff in 3-5 years from now, so why not laugh a little now." :^O

Sharing laughter after a painful moment lets the individuals be more in balance. If you have just been through something painful - laughter can add balance to your perspective and prevent you from taking on false beliefs around what has just occurred.

Also having fun things to look forward to, and planning these events keeps people young.

Enjoy your weekend and do sneak in a moment or two of pure pleasure! :-D

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!

I agree wholeheartedly about putting more fun into your work because, obviously, everyone benefits from the experience. Why not go out of your way to make someone smile? It's an added value that most businesses don't bother to provide. Think of it as a competitive edge; something worth talking about.

I do most of my business online nowadays for two reasons: 1) it's convenient and 2) the store experience doesn't inspire me to return. I want convenience, reasonable prices and selection, just like the next person, but if you want to retain me as a customer you need to give me a reason to come back. Entertainment is a great way to do that.
Hi Lynette,

Great tips and heartfelt insights on the importance to add laughter to your days! :-D
Yes we all can easily get so caught up in our work loads and responsibilities that it overwhelms our thinking and leaves little space for laughter, joy and fun.

Stop and smell the roses along the way...and remember to bring joyous energy into your days. very expression of joy and fun creates opportunities for 'new beginnings' in life.
I have a favorite saying posted in several places in my home...
Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much

In Gratitude...:-x

Hi Lynnette

I admit I too am often a little too rigid in my thinking, my being serious, not enjoying things as much as I should. It is a good reminder to stop and smell the roses along the way. Life should be fun...and then we can be more creative when we are in Joy!

A lot of times we seem to just get so caught up in work and getting things done that we forget to have fun. Laughter lightens the whole body so that must be more healthy!

I look forward to seeing you at Rise and having some Laughter and FUN!
