Self Empowerment Through Fun!

Making time for fun in our personal development plan is crucial to our success. This was a hard concept for me to learn.

"Celebrate your success. Find some humor in your failures. Don't take yourself so seriously. Loosen up, and everybody around you will loosen up. Have fun."
Sam Walton

In my recent travels, I was reminded of a critical element of life, taking the time to have FUN, and making the daily tasks enjoyable.

Did you know that laughter and fun help you to not only increase your sense of wellbeing but also increase your wealth creation?

Canon said "Why would people want buy from you if they don't enjoy doing so? Making what you have to sell fun to buy is simply taking the whole process one step further. If you can make your customers laugh, and excite them with your vision of what life can be, they are not going to walk into your outlets, but run into them. Running a successful business should be fun for you, and there's every reason why you should be able to communicate that sense of fun to your customers. Certainly, if you aren't having fun, you probably aren't running a successful business."

Having been a serious, detail oriented person for the majority of my working life, I appreciate being reminded to let go and choose the Fun path.

One of the essential elements in maintaining a positive healthy mindset is to take time out for laughter and fun. Any time we get too rigid about anything, even if it is something for our own good like exercise and time spent learning, we end up being too attached to a particular outcome.

This can also lead to feeling weighed down and walking around with a sensation of heaviness. This heavy feeling or vibration also gets communicated to others when we are interacting with them. People are already overburdened and overwhelmed; they certainly are not looking for more of the same from you or me.

Most of the things that occur in our life are there to teach us a lesson. Our leader Ellie Drake said, "We will probably be laughing at this same stuff in 3-5 years from now, so why not laugh a little now." :^O

Sharing laughter after a painful moment lets the individuals be more in balance. If you have just been through something painful - laughter can add balance to your perspective and prevent you from taking on false beliefs around what has just occurred.

Also having fun things to look forward to, and planning these events keeps people young.

Enjoy your week and do sneak in a moment or two of pure pleasure! ;)

Lynette, I love your post!!! :-D

For me, fun can mean a myriad of things - everything from laughing with some friends to going outside to pick a fresh fig off of my fig tree.

I sometimes put the 'fun' part of my day into my planner, yet more often, I now spontaneously find myself choosing to have fun in some little way. Tiny breaks count for me.

Thank you Lynette, we can never get enough reminders about the need for fun and humor in our lives!

Thanks for a great blog - - I love the message!
Laughter & Humor both have very HIGH vibration.
Interestingly enough it has been shown that Happy People keep their sense of humor. (LIke they really needed a study to prove that right??!!! :) )

What happens as we age??? Studies have shown that children laugh an average of 425 times a day (if you don't believe that just come to my house and hang out with my seven year old) where as adults laugh only an average of 15 times a day.

Laughter creates ENDORPHINS.
And actually just smiling creates ENDORPHINS.
Smiling and laughing will both send messages to the brain that says " I AM HAPPY – I AM IN A GOOD MOOD." So even if you are having some challenges in your life at this moment - - just put on a SMILE - -you can trick your brain! It is great!

And remember "WORRY is like a rocking chair - - you can rock and rock and rock and you never get anywhere...." :)

I went shopping with one of my girlfriends a couple days ago - - I want a new outfit for the red carpet event at RISE .... and we got to laughing so hard in the aisle of the department store that the manager of the store actually had to come over and make sure we were ok... hahaha :-x My abs were actually sore that night from all the laughing.!

Looking forward to seeing you at RISE!!

I’ve always been about having fun... sometimes too much Fun :^O ; however, I’ve had to learn to not take myself so seriously :O… to be detached from the outcome… and to celebrate my successes :-D instead of beating myself up over my failures.

I love what you’ve written here, especially…
