Self Empowerment - How Turning Within Can Pay Off Big Time.

Your personal power can be greatly enhanced by turning within.

Many times we come face to face with major decisions to make, and we have a hard time deciding what is right for us.

One of the reason that occurs is our monkey mind keeps interfering, and we have a hard time listening to the small voice within.

Secondly, we often feel we are in a major rush to make the decision, and at that point if we have not trained our mind to quiet down, to tune into our higher wisdom, we feel that it is not time to start the processs.

Personally, over the last four months, I have had two major decisions to make - one in regards to my career, and one in regards to a personal relationship.

By continuously choosing to anchor into my Essence, to set out my intentions, and to trust that I would receive the messages needed in as gently and positively a way as possible... I am happy to share that I have received my answers, though the answers are not what I had orignially thought they would be. ;)

Both situations are now unfolding, and I have learned to trust my inner self on a much deeper level.

Four months, to straighten out two major areas of my life ... now feels like a short time.

One of the greatest lessons through the process of turning within, is that the most effective doing can simply be no doing at all, but rather Be in a better state of Being.

Furthermore, my sense of inner peace has increased and I feel a deeper satisfaction and happiness.

I am truly grateful.

For me turning within is now an essential part of my day ... as I am witnessing my personal power increase.

Can you share a strategy you use to turn within and hear your small voice?

Hi Dee,

Thank you for your comments and question.

What I mean by Monkey mind... is the endless chatter that goes on in your head, the repeated thoughts that do not serve you, the comments you have heard that are just not so ...

Does this help?

Have yourself a wonderful day! :)

Hi Lynette, your blog was very encouraging, however, I did not understand the term "Monkey Minds". Could you explain it's meaning. I think maybe sometimes my thoughts get lost in the busyness of the day, so i think much more clearly after exercise and then quiet time listening out for God's voice to make sense of my troubling situations. Then most often in that same day, he sends a confirmation of what i heard through a person i came in contact with that day.

keep up the inspiring words,
Dee
Lynette,

Greate blog. Over the years, turning within has been my greatest source of confirmation and strength. I do so, much like Deja, early in the morning or right before going to sleep. Another strategy I use is participating in one of my hobbies, especially cooking. I get tons of revelation when I cook. I think it has to do with the fact that I'm change food into a meal and Isince 'm always thinking about transformation, this process ignites spiritual movement for me.

What moves you?

I use whichever method comes to me spontaneously to go within. It used to be the standard meditation technique but over the last year it's Burt Goldman's Daisy Pond Meditation, the Silva centering method, or a deprogramming technique I discovered which takes me there in 4 minutes.

Since I've been a control freak most of my life, it was hard getting to this point and I can't say the urge to DO something is completely gone as it shows it's face when I'm feeling particularly vulnerable. However, the peace and quiet that I gain from going within is well worth it.
My best quiet time Lynette to hear my still voice is very early in the morning between 3 and 6 am when I have had plenty of rest and there is no noise in the house. I have my best thoughts and ideas and make many major decisions.:)

We are called human beings, not human doings

Lynette,

Turning within is such a great reminder. Source energy works through us. If we do not take the time to live within, we can not tap into the guidance that is always there for everyone of us. Robin Buckley
