What vision of health and well being to you hold for yourself?

Lynnette , this is such a powerful post! We ARE what we focus upon! Entering my senior years, I know it is reasonable for my body to talk ( sometimes scream! ) at me when I attempt to make it behave like an 18 year-old. I USED TO feel very grim when I got these communications from my physical form.....and....I learned to re-direct my focus. I just figure that at any given time, there is more of me feeling no pain, that there is creaking.... so I have learned to direct my attention to a part that doesn't hurt, and thank it for doing such a good job! Does that sound a little wacky? I don't care! While I am thanking my high performance, pain free ankle, my creaky knee shuts up a minute! I actively see myself as healthy. I see my cells performing with maximum efficiency. I let every cell know that I appreciate it and I expect it to continue it's high performance record. I promise it the very best nutrition I a capable of giving it, and I pass on the enticements that I know will cause my body distress. I strive to live a life of nutritional health care, rather than pharmaceutical camouflage. It works for me! There are many high quality nutritional systems to assist in getting the essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and adaptagens our bodies require for peak performance. I am thrilled by the nutritional system I use! Make it easy on yourself, and don't attempt to let your food provide everything! At the same time, be very conscious about just how user friendly what you are eating actually is. The body WANTS to move.... so move it! Physical conditioning is a product of co-operating with what your body is begging you for - movement! Sports, walking, dance, labor, cycling, yoga...the possibilities are endless, and any body can start. When we FEEL good, we are a blank canvas begging to be covered with the colors of creativity, service and abundance! Focus on what feels good! We can not help moving in the direction of our focus! In Optimum Health, Linda Carol Berry About 40 years ago I observed people around me were sick all the time. Part of it I think was to get attention. Part I think was poor dietary choices. At that time I decided that I did not want to follow the sickness road. I changed my diet and became a vegan and I studied nutrition and herbalism. I knew if I took care of my health I would not get sick. And you know what. In 40 years both my husband and I have remained remarkably healthy. We have not even had colds and flus that others around us have. We are vigorous and strong. I have to question...is it our diet or is it that we think we are healthy? We want to be healthy of course but. the thought of sickness never crosses our mind. And you are right that being well frees up a lot of time for more positive thoughts in other areas of life. MaryAnne http:/ YES YES YES!!! Lynette, AWESOME suggestions! AWESOME blog! Everyone should read this blog! I am going to share a very personal thing that I do. I tell this private story as a STORY only - this is NOT medical advice and I am NOT recommending that you try this at home I never get sick however - since I am exposed to numerous virus' and bacteria on a regular basis... occasionally I will begin to notice an exposure in the form of say, for sake of example a sore throat... if I have a sore throat, I acknowledge that I have a sore throat... I then acknowledge that my body was created by a higher power who created a perfect body that has the capacity to heal itself... then I talk to my throat and tell it how grateful I am that it is my throat, that it is a perfect throat, that I love how it serves me daily... I then tell my throat that I KNOW it can heal itself with ease... and that I am OPEN to accepting that that healing will happen QUICKLY. And then I pop a few vitamin C, zinc, echinacea, and drink some juice and almost without exception... I am the bomb the next day and my throat is perfect. We should all learn to EMBRACE our health and wellness and do everything we can to improve and maintain it! To Your Total Wellness, Dr. Sugar
