Examine what is said, not him who speaks. - Arab Proverb Dear Sarah, I UNDERSTAND where you are coming from and IF you read my response FOR understanding instead of ASSUMING you hear me, I think you will "get" that I am NOT trying to TELL you how to live your life, but I am merely sharing something I HOPE you will open your mind up to ... I, personally, seek to ALWAYS keep an open mind ... When we SEE things ONLY in one way ... it MAY be detrimental to finding a BETTER way ... PLEASE hear me clearly ... I DID try to keep my thoughts to myself ... but IF I care, then I, too ... must speak my thoughts ... WE ARE ALL entitled to speak our thoughts otherwise ... what is the TRUE PURPOSE of sharing? ... You are FREE to interpret my words the way YOU WISH to interpret them ... but judging from what you have stated, you have not read them as I had INTENDED ... And, so it IS ... We are EACH individuals ... We ALL have voices ... I heard yours a long time ago and it was YOU who reached out to my personal e-mail ... Despite my demanding schedule, I tried to support you by personal e-mail for as long as you wished to communicate that way ... I've read your book ... and I have stated many times even in the response to this Blog post that I can never truly understand what you have been through, but ... life is only as complex or as simple as we EACH choose to make it ... I wish you well in your attempts to find true freedom ... but wanting to "walk back into the darkness" DOES concern me ... I, too, need to speak TRUTH ... Aloha pume hana, Barb Dearest Sarah 123, Thank you for sharing your story and how hard it has been. You are an Amazing BraveHeart Woman with so much love for others that have and are still hiding from their past. I am so very Grateful for you telling it like it is and giving me hope. Keep sharing your voice and shining the light on this path that so many just want to push under the rug like it never happened. I have been following your book and your healing words for others for months now and i am so very proud of you and that you are in my life. Don't let others that have never walked in your shoes tell you how you should feel or what you should do. Safe Boundary's are so important. I am proud of you for taking a stand and speaking out. You are one of my Hero's. God knows what is best and you are a Living Testimony that we can heal what ever has happened to us and live the Beautiful Life we so justly deserve. Keep Shining my Dear BraveHeart Sister. With Many Blessings with Love & Light, Lisa Bull Barb....I want to respond to your comment. You write as if you know me and know better what I need. I have no idea who you are other than someone who has followed my blog here at Braveheart. When I met with Maury Blair, Author of Child of Woe, he told me he feels exactly what I'm saying here. I can't expect you to ever understand if you've never been where I've been and thankfully you haven't. Our journey's are all different. For a long time I was silenced and shamed into not saying my truth. I have become strong and won't allow anyone to do that to me anymore. My words...my understanding of the dance of shame has touched so many.....I could never have imagined that possible. Please don't keep telling me to do things in your way....or feel in the ways you think is right for me. I respect you and your journey. Please respect mine. What does it mean to me to be a Braveheart Woman? It means to stand up...speak up...own your truth...make a difference. That's all I'm trying to do. That's what I want to do. "t's painful to remember...but I want to walk back into the darkness....into that silence....to that place that held so much shame from which I thought I would never be free - for the reason....of helping someone else find freedom. To give hope to not to give up....to never to give up.... " - Sarah Dear Sarah, Thank you for sharing ... The success of your book does not surprise me ... You are a great writer and the story you have to tell in order to help others see a way out is a story that will help a LOT of people ... You really do not need to relive in order to remember ... I know that has been a very difficult concept for you to accept, but it is the way for you to finally be truly free ... I can certainly not truly know what you have experienced and WHY you feel you must relive in order to remember and help others ... I sincerely believe, however, that you do not need to "walk back into the darkness ... for the reason" ... You really do not need to do that ... For your daughters I ask you to try to release that thought ... I have been concerned about your reasoning over many months now as I heard you say the above in an e-mail to me that made me realize that I did not truly understand your logic and I pray for a way to help you see that you do not need to relive in order to remember and bear witness ... YOUR overcoming already bears witness for ALL that HE has done to help make you whole again ... to help you and your daughters create a life together that YOU all can be proud of ... The happiness you share with your daughters is real and YOU need to talk about that, too ... Your story is already in print and can be shared worldwide ... Your website will also reach a LOT of people who may need your help ... but ... you do not need to relive in order to remember ... PLEASE try to understand that ... With hope that you will find new ways of thinking of how best you can help those you seek to help ... many blessings as you journey on ... thinking, sharing ... striving always for a better life ... Aloha pume hana, Barb
