I can relate. For a very long time and even now I get into a people pleasing mode. It is not always easy but I am learning when I take care of myself and do what's best for me it benefits not only me but the people around me as well. Joyce Welcome to BraveHeart Women. You will find a new start here. I love this community because it is full of women who are designing their life by intention - women who live their life as inspiration in action! It is a place where I can come to share and inspire others and also a place where I am continually inspired by so many amazing like minded women from all over the world! With Love, Wellness and Compassion, Dr. Sugar Would you like to join your Community Doctor? Hi Joyce, That's a biggy. Especially as women we tend to want to please too much. Nothing wrong with that, we only need to understand that people will respect us when we also know when to say NO. I used to be in that position and I still love to help others, but I've learned to also take care of me,and that is not being selfish. It helped me when I heard Oprah say, that when she started, she was trying to please everyone and then one day she realized what she was doing and going forward she learned to say NO. I would love to hear how you are progressing with this.Keep us posted. Beatirx
