It's that time of year when preparations are being made for getting our children back to school. With it, comes the anxieties and concerns every parent shares. Here is a thought-provoking movie that shows how any parent can find the best ways to bring out the greatness in each of their children.

As a Braveheart Women we connect and empower each other in spite of human borders.
How can we help our children, grandchildren or students to do the same?

What do you think, can they inherit the same sense of connection we have?
Maybe we need a Braveheart Kids Global Community to prove that. ;)

Dear Kate,

I am glad that the movie is useful for your work as well.
I agree that "parents of children with special needs have special worries".
These parents have to make usually more effort to connect to their children.
Often the so called "normal" children receive "zero"attention from their parents.
The research made among Asian youth shows Taiwan's parents the worst in whole Asia.
The children described their parent as "caring about the school grades and performances only".

As a matter of fact, the suicide rate among teenagers is very high here.
Refer to article: Disturbing suicide rate among young people

The power of connection is the one to tap in to prevent all these problems among youth.

Dear Dr. Sugar

thank you for your feedback.
I know about Ellie's CD, we've got it, at the very beginning, when it came out and my children are listening to it.
My questions were more rhetorical. I hope to see BraveHeart Kidz Foundation more active globally.

As a matter of fact, there is a lot of discrepancy between how the Americans see the world and how the rest of the world see America. It's time to reconciliate the differences.

Youth are our future and hope and we need to invest in their empowerment, as much-or even more-as we invest in our own empowerment.

I am following Ellie's steps from much before Braveheart and I am a big fan of her great work and vision -I understand that everything needs time. Never less, as much as I will love to be at Rise, ( I even managed to "attract"/win a VIP ticket ;)) at the moment, it doesn't seem realistic that I could attend.

Have a wonderful, oxytocin-ful day!:-x

Thank you for sharing the movie, Grazyna. It was beautiful.

I'll share the link on my practice's blog. 65% of my clients are children, most have developmental delays and disorders.

Though all parents worry about their children, parents of children with special needs have special worries. I believe these parents would find hope in seeing this.

Thank you for that
As mothers we all want the best for our children and certainly we want to bring out their greatness so that they can connect and empower others as they learn themselves to be empowered and inspired.
And in answer to your question...
YES - - they can
YES - - -we do
Do you know about BraveHeart Kidz Foundation?
You will learn much more about this amazing foundation at RISE and you will also have an opportunity to learn about ELLIE's Children's Affirmation CD's that are changing the World - - One Child At A Time.

Much Love,
Dr. Sugar

P.S. I sent you a message in my blog - did you receive it?
