WARNING

Posted Dec 18, 2009 05:27 PM
It is Christmastime! One week from today will be Christmas Day. Why am I giving you a warning? Well, it goes like this. Last week, my pastor, Demetrius Miles, completed a series on a topic entitled “The Fear Factor.” It blessed us and I’d like to share some things with you that I know will blessings of transformation.

I don’t think it’s a secret that many people are fearful of something. As human beings, that is just a part of our frailty. I am fearful of height, so don’t give me a window seat on an airplane or, offer to take me bungee jumping or sky diving.

Fear is a monster that can drive you crazy, paralyze or handicap you. What were you afraid of in 2009 and in years prior? What were your limitations? What held you back from accomplishing the goals you set? Don’t dwell on them; only recall them when you need reference points for improvement and progress.

There is no fear you can have that people have not conquered before. For example, Abraham and Zacharias conquered theirs fears of inadequacy and their sons were born. Mary conquered her fear of intimidation and her Son was born. Mary’s Son, Jesus, is the reason we celebrate Christmas on December 25. Jesus does not want you to be afraid.

There are hundreds of scriptures in the Bible addressing, such as; Fear-fear not! Do not be afraid!
Pastor, Miles, gave a working definition for fear throughout the study:

Fear = A distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain etc; A specific instance of, or propensity for such a feeling.
According to Pastor Miles, this is how you conquer fear:

You conquer fear With LOVE and, the characteristics that give evidence of your growth in the love of God are: Confidence, Integrity, Alignment and Success. He expounded on all of these areas, but I will highlight Love.

About love, he said, “God loves us! We become free of fear when we grow in the love of God. Perfect love casts out fear. God is love. I want to encourage you to remember that it is a process. If we have fear it is because we have not been perfected in love. Don’t focus on the fear; focus on growing in the love of God.

Fear will crumble and disintegrate as we open up and embrace the love of God. Remember, using the right key in the Kingdom is critical to accessing the abundant life. The key to overcoming fear is growing in the love of God."

Reference Scriptures: 1 John 4:7-21, 5:1-5, John 5:24, Rom. 8:1, 5:10, 8:15, 1 John 4:18, 2 Tim.1:7

Get ready for the divine breakthroughs and the blessings of 2010. To do this you must leave fear behind. Don’t even think about the setbacks of 2009-those are history. It’s time to move forward. Willie Jolley, said: “A setback is a set up for a comeback.”

Set you expectations high, believe the un-believable, and become unstoppable.
I can’t tell you everything that pastor taught in the 9 lesson series, but you can obtain the Cds by going to www.tucsonchurch.org.

The warning is; leave fear behind as you move forward to another chapter in your life in year of restoration, abundance and establishment-2010.
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a prosperous life!

A wonderful reminder during these times when it's easy to feel afraid. God is love and invites us to accept him and feel the fear melt away. Merry Christmas to all and bless you in the new year ahead. Moraine
Hi Pauline,

Great blog!

"This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline."

~Timothy 1:16-17

I want 2010 to be the year I enter into intimacy with God our Father, that place where Moses entered, the Holy place. That is my prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ.

I long to be transformed by His perfect love! oh how I need Him!

Since 2008 I drifted away, I became the prodigal daughter. But I want to come back home, and be with Him forever.

You are loved,

Zuly
Let us conquer fear with lots of love.
