Change

Posted Aug 25, 2009 02:32 PM
I realized today that I have been living a lie.....I say I welcome change and I can't live without it...when in reality that's a big fat lie...

I like to change my living room, bedroom, kids rooms, I like to change my style but in fact when it comes to actual change I am scared to death....Lately, I am running...the more I look and evaluate who I am I don't really like who I have become...and I don't mean I am a bad person I am just not really living the way I want to live....and its also not about my financial situation...its just me somewhere I put up a guard a wall etc and I am not really acting like myself...and when I do act like myself its almost scary inside and I am left saying did I really do that?

I want to be me again....I want the freedom of being me and waking up everyday and liking what I see and feel....I know this is all about discovering who I really am and that the process can be scary and right now I am lost....

I plan on moving forward but change is really hard and draining

So once again I will continue on and I know one day I will wake up and it will actually hit me as to what I am suppose to do....

Thanks so much for sharing.

I wonder which is really the issue for you - that you're scared of change, or that you don't know which change to pursue (i.e. what are you really meant to do).

Cause if its the first one - that you're scared to change - I think its safe to say that you know what you want/need to do and are freaked out by the idea of doing it. If that's the case, I say rejoice that you have the knowledge of what you need to do and focus on asking the universe/God/higher power for the resources you need so that you can feel confident and joyful in what you need to do.

If its the second, then you're not scared of change at all - you're just on the journey to change! The beginning part of any journey can be confusing because no matter which way you face, you're still at the beginning and every direction looks really similar. Its not until you begin walking in a certain direction that the scenery changes. And maybe you find you were walking the wrong way. That's okay, because now you have more information about which is the right way to go! And soon you'll find you're walking on exactly the right path for you.

Keep at it and don't beat yourself up so much. You're closer than you think you are!!
Hello Christina,

Thank you for sharing. Give yourself permission to just be you. Change is a natural process that just is. No more no less. Welcome it with open arms and let out yourself regardless of other loved ones opinions of you. They will adjust as well.

many continued blessings for you and your family,

Aitza :)
Dear Christina,

I see from your profile that you have four children. Perhaps you underestimate how much your responsibilities to them influence your feelings of being out of touch with yourself. Kids have a way of keeping a mother off center.

I offer this perspective to you from my own experience as a mother. When I was in the thick of things years ago as a mother of young children I couldn't see how much I was challenged by circumstance. I used to wonder why I couldn't stay centered. In fact, it was hard to even find time out to think about issues of authenticity.
Christina,

I am touched by your honesty. You took a huge risk in exposing your soul to us. I am also touched by the loving support of the other BraveHeart women who have left comments for you. What a beautiful vision Elli has to create a place for us to feel safe to share, learn and grow. Be gentle and patient with yourself as you journey towards your genuine self.
Christina,

Thank you for sharing you! You're exactly where you are suppose to be...with yourself. Change comes once we understand whatever it iss we need to understand. I'm proud of you for allowing yourself to be honest and true...truth sets us free and makes moving that much easier....Press on!

Live Outrageously Well,

Anita
Christina :-D When I think of change, I am always reminded of one of my favorite quotes:

I may not be able to change everything in my life with one decision, yet I am able to change the direction of my life with one decision. That direction begins to change when I start looking within myself. ~Ellie Drake

Christina,

You are on the right path to discovering yourself. First of all you have joined the Braveheart Women, that is a step on your discovery. Next you are aware that you still discovering the true you. Now allow yourself to release the old and LOVE the new. The awakening you will have about yourself, the gifts you have to express will make you FEEL fantastic about the REAL you and your life. ENJOY the process.

My dear friend Linda Berry has stated many important things in her comment also. I would like to add that you may wish to read "the law of attraction" by Ester and Jerry Hicks. It can give you some insights into your thoughts.

Be well my friend!:-x

Aloha,

Your post holds a bunch of clues!
That's great - Awareness always precedes action!

You write:
"I know one day I will wake up and it will actually hit me as to what I am suppose to do...."
I offer that as long as you think "ONE DAY I will...and It will..."
you will KEEP WHAT YOU SEEK IN YOUR FUTURE

How about
"I am so thrilled to be seeing what it is I am supposed to be doing TODAY!"

Can you feel the difference?

Whatever you are feeling - you are calling toward you.

If you feel drained and like things are hard - then you are offering a vibrational match for things that are hard and draining to come to... THEY WILL FIND YOU LIKE A HEAT SEEKING MISSILE!

Find something right now that makes you feel good. give it you attention and enjoy as it expands.
.
We Are What We Focus Upon.
