"Living In The Moment"

by Amber "V" Moonstone 8/31/08

Have you ever just let life move through you?
Just relishing in the moments of your life,
Letting go of control and abandon rigidness.

Have no expectations,
enjoy each moment for what it is,
surrender to feeling in the moment.

The first thing you need to do is,
to give yourself permission to let go.
Once you do this, all possibilities open up.

When letting go of our hold on ourselves,
it gives us the freedom and energy
to embrace all that is new and meaningful.

When you take a walk next time,
consciously feel each step on the ground,
smell the air, feel the wind and savor the moment.

Look at a tree and it's amazing power
will fill you with energy to sustain your day,
filling you with strength and vision.

When you smell a flower,
really take in it's scent,
realize just how simple and complex it is.

Walk along the shoreline,
just far enough away, so that the waves
can kiss your feet with healing magic.

Tenderly touch a pet,
feel their response,
know that you can give love.

Kiss your child,
and realize just what a miracle
they really are to you.

Look at your aging parents,
find time to be with them,
knowing that you may not have much time left.

Fill your world with positive thoughts,
Stand proud to be YOU,
and always remember to live in the moment.

author's notes: I want to live in the moment, I wish you to live in the moment and live your life to the fullest.

peace, love, and light,

A little bit about Goddess Persephone:
Hades springs out of the earth and captures Persephone, dragging her off to be his queen in the Underworld; her dad Zeus told him it was okay to take her as his bride, and Hades took him a bit literally. Hades was also her own uncle, which didn't make this exactly a myth of good family mental health. Her distraught mother Demeter searches for her and stops all foods from growing until she is returned. Even Zeus has to give in and help work out a deal -

Persephone, Goddess Of Spring and the Underworld

Chilly air surfacing to bite
a tender arm beneath the golden sun
the warmth from the sun
is not enough to warm the windy ocean breeze.

Long Island sound in the distance,
reminding me of summer days at the shore
that were scorching hot
when the only relief was to jump in the ocean.

Today, the windy ocean breeze
sends chills throughout my body,
wishing for more sunshine and warmth.
Walking along the shoreline I saw her.

I saw her in the distance dressed in white,
the ocean breeze making her hair flow
like a Goddess riding on a white stallion.
She looked amazing in that long white dress.

I could see the outline of her body,
lean, muscular and curvy.
It melted my resistance to turn away.
I smiled at her as she walked by.

Just at that moment, I was captivated
the aroma of her scent was intoxicating
I took a hold of her hand and kissed it ever so gently
She pulled it away saying "you don't even know me."

"Ah, my lovely Goddess but you do know me,
we have met in my dreams and I have felt your ever loving embrace many times."
"You are lying sir, I do not know you!"

She turned and ran down the shoreline
out of site, farther than my eye could see.
I was a fool to have frightened her away.
I know l will see her once again, in my dreams.

The breezy ocean air brought clarity
and as I walked toward my home,
I knew she would be back, searching
for the man that kissed her hand on the shore.

Days went by and no sign of the beautiful Goddess,
Could I have been so wrong about our destiny?
Just as I was about to give up hope,
She came galloping up on her white horse.

She took my breath away once more,
and as she approached me,
she let out a loud yell and said hop on, kind sir!
I obeyed and jumped on the moving horse.

It was exhilarating and exciting.
Her long black hair flowing all over my face,
made this moment very sensually memorable.
Her perfume was all over my mind.

As we approached a big beautiful castle
that was all covered in vines and seashells,
I let out a big sigh of immeasurable excitement.
Could this be her home, I thought.

The Goddess ordered me to get off her horse,
and I obeyed her demands.
"My lovely Goddess, I shall give you anything you desire"
"Now, kind Sir, that is exactly what I want to hear".

As we walked into the unusual castle,
I began to get a feeling of doom,
it was all dark and damp inside.
"Where are we Goddess?"

"You will see in good time, Sir"
Now go to that room and get prepared for dinner.
Once again, I obeyed and walked into a bedroom.
It was all done in purple velvet and satins.

There was an outfit laid out for me on the bed.
It was a pair of purple silk pants and a kimono jacket.
The shoes were made from the finest dyed purple silk.
A note was resting on the table addressed to me.

"Dearest Adam,
I know who you are, I am well aware of your undying love for me, and I have seen you in your dreams. Many sleepless nights, I have traveled to your bedroom. I have made sweet love to you and left before you awaken.
It was not by chance that we met last week. I came to you because I am the Goddess of Spring. I know everything about you. Do not try to hide from me. You can be yourself and be assured I will never harm or leave you now. Dress swiftly and come dine with me."
Signed Goddess Persephone

I dropped the paper and tried to remember
who Goddess Persephone was.
Searching my memory I came up with Goddess of the Underworld, something about being the Queen of the Dead!

Terror gripped my heart
I calmly regained my composure
and laughed for a moment thinking this was a sick joke.
Certainly in a moment my friends would burst in!

Time flew by, and it was time to dine with Persephone
I was not going to let this opportunity slip by,
I had many questions of this dark beauty,
and I wasn’t leaving until they were answered.

Dinner went well, and upon retiring to her parlor
An eerie song was heard in the distance.
“She smiled and said it was time to go now. Follow me
Dear Adam and you will live for eternity.”

I looked at her face and saw that her eyes were gleaming
with a purple hue that was not there before dinner.
She captured my stare and we stood silent
absorbing each others energy.

In a brief moment I saw her change from a beautiful Goddess
to a dark creature and then back again.
Was this the Goddess that lived in the underworld,
Will I have enough courage to fight her.

Her eyes were electrifying and her voice was hypnotizing.
I cannot resist her charms, I am falling deeply into the depths of hell
and I do not think I will try to stop her.
I have waited all my life to feel this kind of energy.

She is my soul mate, my only love,
Now I shall join her in the journey to the underworld,
where she returns with a new lover every springtime
to satisfy her legend and enrage her husband Hades!

Abyss Of Loneliness

by Amber "V" Moonstone

June 12, 2009

You walk within the eclipse of your mind,
hiding your feelings of desire,
ignoring the signs of hunger for love,
only to feed on the emptiness of a darkened shadow.

Within the confines of a dream,
you wither into the abyss of loneliness
forsaking your inner feelings
and abandoning your true heart.

What crazy fool forsakes a true love,
knowing that paradise is a breath away,
killing the lilies of the field of pleasure,
with ignorance of a deaf ear.

Do not forsaken love that deeply dwells
amongst purity and integrity
A love that is so pure,
it scares you into ignorance.

Be not afraid to expel your inner feelings,
summon the love of your life,
it is only a moment in time
that will be forever fleeting by.
