Wow, am I excited about what I am learning these days.
Years ago I used to think " when will I ever stop going to school, taking courses or even just plain learning?" Some days it felt like my brain hurt from all the learning I was doing.
I have just finished my new book and look forward to launching it to the world very soon and in doing that I have been on a tremendous learning curve.
The neat thing about this new adventure is, I'm so passionate about what I want to support the world in that it somehow does not feel like the learning I had in school. It is learning that is making a difference!
When I learn how to come from a place of authenticity and love, I feel peaceful and full of hope. When I learn to be patient with the world and myself, I enjoy what is around me in the moment. When I learn to truly care about others and work with them to achieve their goals, I feel excited.
So now I think "Maybe this journey of lifelong learning is not so bad after all, bring it on!
I remember back on the farm years ago the team work that went on day after day during the spring, summer and fall. (Winter was a time of Planning). Always something to do.
In the spring, summer and fall we would all get up when the sun did (very early). After a very hearty breakfast, together, discussing what needed to be completed during the day and who would be doing what we all scurried (sometimes shuffled) out the door to get the work done.
You see, in nature, when the sun is shining and the weather is good the harvesting is being done by everyone.
Some of us had the dubious pleasure of picking weeds in acres of garden and making large meals for the harvesters in the fields far from the farmhouse.
Others were on machinery or digging stumps, etc. Hard physical labour. That sun, sometimes during the heat of the day, was somewhat unbearable.
By the end of a long hard day of working together as a team we would sit at dinner and talk about the accomplishments we had throughout the day and all the wonderful food we were creating for others and the winter months ahead.
It was both a challenge and a reward.
Teams have not really changed all that much from back then.
To have a really successful team - Where two or more are gathered - It is important to consult, empower each other, and get the work done (Action).
If you are part of the team and want a harvest at the end of your day it is up to you to make it happen.
As you move forward in your day today reflect on what you really want to create? Who will help you make it happen? Who will do what? Then move into ACTION to make it happen. 'We reap what we sow.'
At the end of your day, remember the most important part of your day is to celebrate with your team all you have completed and the joy you had in doing it!
As I awoke very early this morning excited to move forward in my quest for Team Building I was reflecting on yesterday and all that I recieved.
I am amazed at what happened yesterday when I found the BraveHeart for Women Group and decided to join. What a wonderful welcome from so many people.
All day long the emails kept coming in with warm messages and great information. I even received support to make sure what I wrote was posted so everyone could read it.
The aniticipation I feel within that I have tapped into a very powerful team is nothing short of amazing for me.
Thanks to everyone for my first day and I truly look forward to connecting with others again today,
I am very excited to be a new member of the BraveHeart Women's Group.
As women we understand each other and it is very refreshing to read the comments for today and actually feel the heart and soul or the community. This is so fundamentally different than my usual business world.
Teambuilding and Teamwork to me begin when two or more are gathered.....and I am so glad I am now part of this team!
