I thought I'd make this first blog post a kind of "getting to know me" kind of thing.
I was born over 2 months premature and life has been a constant journey for self-esteem. I have some physical issues, and what I like about the Internet is that it doesn't matter what your physical situation is, it only matters about what you share, who you are inside.
I have been writing poetry, children's stories, nonfiction, song lyrics, etc., for several years in my spare time. Yep, still got the day job, though!
I recently became disappointed with all the negativity in the media and general life, so I decided to do something about it. I recently (like last week) launched a new site, www.sharingthesunshine.com, a site for anyone is looking for positivity and happiness on the web. It's a place where people can share their good news (big and small) and express their gratitude for the blessings they do have, even in these trying times. It was actually while I was doing promotional work for my site when I came across BraveHeart Women, and I'm glad I did.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all, and kicking my motivation and inspiration up to new levels in 2010.
