Dear BraveHeart Women:

I noticed a post in Tari Bussard's Empowerment101 Community that
touched my heart. It is from a 24 year old new member and I wanted
to share it with you....

It seems like Ray is looking for your wisdom in order to inspire her mom.

Here's what she said:

****
Hi Out there,

My Name is Ray, and I'm 24 years old and I'm angry. I came to this site
to get some very important questions answered.

My mother is a beautiful, talented, brilliant, generous, caring, unique
and creative 59 year old woman- yet, she is extremely self critical,
has low self-confidence, and is convinced that she will never find self-worth
or love. I know so many other women, who i care about, that just don't believe
in themselves anymore.

My question is....how the heck is that possible?!

How could so many women, from a generation of strong-willed free-spirits,
lose their self-confidence? They forget that they are powerful, proactive
individuals who deserve to feel (and give themselves) praise for their
accomplishments?

How could so many women, who once admired natural and internal beauty,
become so overly critical of their "flaws"? Their "age"?

Why are there so few female role models for my mother?
Why are wrinkles a bad thing?

Why is it such a stigma to be an "older women" in a world where older men
seem to easily find (new) love, success, happiness?

I'm here to learn what I can do for my mother, and how to make her see in
herself what I see in her everyday.

And if all of these stigmas, obstacles, gender biases and inequities exist,
then instead of having "Role Models for Young Girls" that are teen-celebrities,
shouldn't there be Older Empowered Women as role-models for young girls?

I'm glad to see that this site exists.

I'm sorry if this introduction isn't as positive as the previous posters'
entries, but I really want to help my mother, and give her the support that
she needs to understand all of the things she deserves in this world.

Thank you...

Ray

Please share your comments with Ray! We'll make sure she sees them....

Also, thanks to Tari & her www.Empowerment101Community.com for
welcoming Ray & giving her a safe place to share.

It's an honor to journey with you,

Dear BraveHeart Women:

This past week an opportunity presented itself that was let's just
say 'challenging'...

I see different opportunities in my life as ingredients. Some are
sweet and savoring, some are sour, some are spicy hot, and others
are just plain bitter.

This one that I'm talking about was more on the bitter side... It was then
that I found myself wanting to let this bitter ingredient affect my entire
personal internal recipe at least for a day or two (or three)...

Suddenly though, I used some of my tools (a vagus breath combined with a
couple of other grounding tools---If you're a core member you get the drift)
and here's what happened:

It was already about 7 p.m. that I decided to cook a delicious dinner for
my family... Not only that, I decided to make it an amazing experience for
mySelf... I was determined to discover another ingredient that was different
tasting... I wanted sweet, so I decided to create it!

I had my favorite music playing in the kitchen, I started singing like I
had a good voice, dancing like no one was watching (my kids & husband were
watching indeed), and...

I began creating a delicious & healthy dinner... Oh, yeah and I opened a
bottle of organic red wine, and sipped out of my shinny glass with joy!
Literally as if I had no other care in the world! Believe me the bitter
ingredient was still there, but it did not have the power to get in the way
of me using my inner hammer to crack open a new ingredient , unleash
it's taste, and experience the potent sweetness of it!

We sat down and had a great dinner...

After dinner, I opened my mouth graciously and said: Did you enjoy it?
Everyone said, oh yes.. Then I said: good…now who is gonna clean up?

By the way, my son is standing right next to me as I type this note to you...

He is reading it…. At first he said: Mom what's the point of you writing this?
Then he read more and said: Oh you're talking about the delicious Italian
dinner you cooked the other night... Then he read more and said: Ah! I see...
You're talking about, how to be in joy whenever you choose, and then he read the
last part about 'who is gonna clean up', and is now laughing out loud...

Today I know that my inner hammer is ready to crack open whatever ingredient I
choose for it... Sure, life cracks open some ingredients for me, and sometimes
it seems like most of those flavors are not taste-bud friendly, but it sure is
possible to crack open other ingredients and balance the entire recipe to my
own taste...

If your life's recipe right now is not to your taste, then pull out your inner hammer
and start cracking open new ingredients, and begin enjoying the explosion of the
type of taste you're looking for...

Balance your own recipe... Perhaps that's what the bitter or sour ingredients are
trying to teach us... Be your own inner alchemist!

It's an honor to journey with you.

Ellie

Dear BraveHeart Women:

Happy Monday!

Relax your shoulders & breathe! Now tell me what you would put in the blank
space in the subject line?

I was recently taping a PBS show that my good friend Kim Kiyosaki was hosting.

It's called 'Rich Woman'. We were talking about the fact that being rich
is a mutifaceted concept. It's about feeling & enjoying the richness of
love, inner peace, purpose, and much more...

It was then that I began reflecting on my own definition of being rich...

For me, being rich is developing & owning huge real estate! Sure, I do like
traditional tangible real estate, but the type of real estate I'm talking about
here, is ... developing & owning my expanded inner potential as a woman.

The more I open up to my potential, the bigger it gets.

I call this inner real estate! The best part about it is that it's
recession proof!

So even if you're 90 years wise as your reading this, you're moments away
from making a decision to develop & own huge real estate, and more than a
few moments away from seeing the 'passive outcome' of your increasingly
expanding inner real estate.

I used to look for passive income and wanted to create financial richness while
continuously failing to see that my inner real estate was not big enough to give
me the outer results I was looking for....

So I committed to changing that.... I also realized that I wasn't able to change
everything with one decision, yet I was able to change the direction of my life with
one decision, and that direction begin to change more and more as I started to look
within my Self.....

And then sometimes I caught myself thinking thoughts that had this type of undertone:
'should have, could have, didn't, why not, too late' ...

It was then that I had to teach myself that I must first accept the fact that where
I am right now is exactly where I am supposed to be.
With this acceptance I would naturally replace regret with inner peace....

That type of self acceptance was the beginning ground for expanding my inner real estate!

I am honored to be a part of your journey.

Peace In,

Ellie

Happy Monday BraveHeart Women:

I am hanging out with Kathy Ireland today and we wanted
to see if you had any questions that you'd want me to ask
her for you! :)

Kathy really does it all - and in a very big way.
She's a wife, mother, CEO of her own worldwide company,
and her mission is finding solutions for families…especially
busy moms.

And ready for this: Here company, according to Forbes,
is a $1.4 Billion dollar empire.

What impresses me the most about Kathy is how passionate
she is about investing quality time with her 3 children
and husband everyday!

Do you have any questions about home, business, family,
relationships, that you'd like me to ask Kathy for you?

I'll be asking your questions on the BraveHeart View today!

I'd like to propose something today!
Let's raise our vibration

Why don't we (you & I), write a little
something that makes the rest of us
laugh today!

Laughter is one of the greatest remedies
for all emotional pain-It even has
physiological properties including:

It oxygenates our blood, it dilates our
pupils, and it even die-lates our arteries
(which is a whole lot better than having
them die-early!)

Share your funny story or quote in the
'comments' section below, and I'll share
mine with you!

One of my most common experiences during my childhood was observing
the constant 'not being on the same page' dynamic my parents
unconsciously co-created ....

One particular evening, I experienced what I 'used to' consider a
torturous experience....

Little Ellie (7 years old or so) is observing the dynamic yet again...
Then one of her parents (I don't remember which one) tells her to turn
on the light in the room...She walks over to the light switch and just
when she was about to turn it on, the other parent tells her to leave
it off.

In an effort to see which one will win, they continued the role-play...
Turn it on
No...Leave it off
No...Turn it on
No...Leave it off

Ellie's hand begins to shake not knowing which parent she should please....

Ok so when you think of it, it was not that horrifying! My brain said:
No big deal! Yet, my cells swallowed that experience and downloaded that
memory into my tissues.... In that moment, I had yet another issue
charged up and sent to cell for life!

How would that issue get out of my tissue?

Not on it's own! In fact not only did it not get out of my tissues, but it
started to attract more 'misery' cellmates! Then every time an experience
ever so slightly reminded me of that issue, the issue and all its cellmates
threw a riot and created unpleasant feelings that threw me inside the swamp
of struggle! boohoo! Just when I thought I was in control! :)

And that's just ONE issue! I've got many of them! LOL!

Oh you think it's funny? I bet you and I can qualify for the Guinness Book
of World Records
when it comes to the number of issues we hold in our tissues....
And it's not like we're holding them hostage either! It's the darned issues
holding us hostage!

Breathing...............

That's why years ago, I recognized that it was time I learn how to effectively
free these issues out of my tissues!

Not mentally, but viscerally! Mental letting go is very temporary... it's the
visceral process of letting go that's permanent! By the way, I can now talk
about the above experience that 'used to' torture me, and actually describing
them with humor..... No longer do I feel the choking feeling in my throat,
the constriction in my stomach, the victimized embodiment of my old self....

The issue is gone, it's charge released from my tissue, and it's conditioning
no longer eats away at my self esteem!

Here are 5 ways to begin your Release process:

1. Recognize you have Issues (self-transparency is vital)
2. Specify the Issues by writing them on a piece of paper (or a big piece
of construction paper from Office-Depot :) )
3. Trace back each issue to its source experience (do your best anyway)
4. Identify the current experiences of your life that activate these
issues and cause a riot within the cells of your body (it's a non-feel-good
experience)
5. Decide that it's time that you learn the tools that clear up the cellular
Junk! (Stick by that decision or the lack of self-commitment will become
yet another issue! Ouch...)

Learning to RELEASE effectively is a process that we were not taught....It takes
a different type of intestinal fortitude to squeeze the crap out of your cells!
(I'm cracking myself up writing this)

Here's to BraveHeart Women learning to effectively Release!

Cheers,
Ellie Drake

I am writing this while flying over Los Angeles to an event
and then getting ready to tape a PBS show with Kim Kiyosaki.

According to a popular poll on BraveHeartWomen.com, the most
common driving force for most women is to develop their purpose.
Interestingly enough, developing purpose ranked higher than
prosperity, self esteem, and even women bringing change to the world.

I must say that I’m not surprised! Purpose is also my driving force,
it's my inspiration.... When the band of purpose is alive, I can't
help but dance... my soul is drunk with joy, my heart sings, and my
mind serves my heart & soul.

I have found that there is a specific vibrational ladder to purpose.
If I stay in the beginning steps, I hang onto those low vibrations,
but if I go towards the higher steps, I am infused with much higher
vibrations. When it comes to purpose, my drug of choice is one that
gives me the biggest high!

My purpose is: To Rise up to my next potential, to Release what has
so far gotten in my way, to Restore the magnificence of myself back
into my Self, and to Re-invent my Self so that I continuously evolve
into the Woman that inspires me.

I follow my purpose... Why?

* Do I need to? No! Because need is the offspring of mother lack
* Do I have to? No, because 'having to' is only there due to ego
* Do I want to? That's better...but still not 'great enough' for
me to ride its wave of destiny
* Do I choose to? Oh I can feel the 'will' ... Yet the will is a
tree in the garden of the mind...and the mind is my choice for
the vice-president of my world.
* Do I love to? Yes... I can see my purpose is putting on its
running shoes now!

I follow my purpose because...

* I am called to.... Yes Yes Yes...
That hit the g-spot of my Soul!

My soul is drunk in joy; my heart in singing, my mind serves
my heart & soul...

I am now at the top of the vibrational ladder of purpose where
the view is magnificent, where I receive inspiration, and where
I take effortless action.

What about you? Where are you on the vibrational ladder of purpose?

Ellie

Are you changing? Here are 10 signs that real inner change
has begun! If you are experiencing 7 of the 10 signs of change,
then you are evolving into a new you! Read further
to see if you are, or becoming Inspiration In Action…

1. Growing craving for nature. When you connect with yourself,
do you inherently crave to be with nature?

2. Growing discomfort. If you feel uneasiness at a soul level,
this indicates the rubber band of your being is stretching and
some old beliefs are beginning to shatter.

3. Growing sense of loneliness. The journey of personal growth
is often a solo journey; do you feel lonely during this journey?

4. New skills are emerging you didn’t know you had. Perhaps you
are beginning to realize natural skills within you that you might
have taken for granted in the past.

5. New relationship with time. Instead of psychological time,
which is worrying about past or future, you now enter “clock time”,
which is the type of time that's related to mental tasks vs.
emotional insecurities.

6. No longer crave for the old bad ways of life. Some of your old
habits are not making sense to you anymore.

7. New sense of SELF responsibility. The depression and exhaustion
you used to feel is becoming a variable that you feel you DO have
control over. Your sense of SELF responsibility has risen.

8. Growing awareness of purpose. You have a rising sense of curiosity
about your purpose here, and you find yourself thinking about your
service to humanity more and more often.

9. More understanding of past events. You feel like everything that
happened in the past 'should' have happened and you realize it has a
meaning and purpose in getting you to where you are today.

10. Growing awareness of inner manifestation. Instead of praying for the
manifestation of external “variables that you don't have control over”,
you begin to see that your energy is better invested when you “shift”
inner variables that you do have control over.

If you resonated with seven of the above ten signs and they are happening
right now for you, then change has begun!

Share you comments on which of the above ten you're feeling most right now! !

Dear BraveHeart Women:

This year, we're going to take the concept of 'Inspiration In Action'
to a whole new level... In fact, we're going to highlight some
BraveHeart Women who are being an absolute rising example of it...

Some are known amongst us, some aren't, but what they
all have in common is that they are 'inspiraiton in action'

Today, I'd like to highlight Meryl Streep...

It's been said that Meryl has an exceptional imagination,
yet she is also anaylytical in her approach to life...
A perfect blend of right and left brain.

She understands the difference between two egos clashing
vs. two ideas clashing.

She is more determined to be an actress rather than a star
which is a rare quality amongst her peers.

She has a desire to play and is not afraid of looking ridiculous
(something I still personally struggle with)!

When she acts in a movie, she does what's good for the
character and let's go of what makes her look or sound
better! (a real sense of embodying your purpose!)

Finally, she said that she has finally understood that what
makes her good in a movie is not the way she looks, but
how she owns her voice and expresses her truth!

Meryl Streep is a BraveHeart Woman who lives as
Inspiration In Action!

Dear BraveHeart Women:

Happy New Year...

These beginning days of the new year,
many of us are thinking about our New Year's "resolutions"...

I don't know about you, but for me it's not about "resolution"
nearly as much as it is about "evolution"!

A resolution is a mechanical commitment you've got to keep,
whereas evolution is a visceral commitment that keeps you!

For example, I am not interested in resolutions such as:

-I'm going to lose weight
-I'm going to make more money
-I'm going to stress less...

Instead, I'm committing to evolutions in the following ways:

-I'm respecting my body
-I'm leading with my self-worth
-I'm trusting the process

Are you evolving in 2011?

By expressing it in our safe space, you're beginning the
process...and as you post what's on your evolution list,
we'll hold the space for you to be your new you!

Let's give 2011 the chance to feel lucky;)
