A baby was born without vision, his arms and legs can never be straighten. This child will never be able to walk.

As this child grows to be 9 months old, he begins to play the piano. At the age of 2 this little boy would take request for songs.  This child is Patrick Henry Hughes.

Patrick Henry Hughes is an inspiration to us all. His story reminds us that none of us have anything to complain about.

When Patrick’s parents discovered his amazing gift in music, his father John said, “Ok, we are not going to playing baseball, but we are going to play music together. Let’s see how far we can run with this!”

By the time Patrick got to the University of Louisville, the band director told Patrick that he wants Patrick to play in the School Marching Band. Patrick said, “How am I suppose to MARCH?” His father John said, “If the Band Director is passionate about it, and Patrick wants to do, by golly I Will Give It My All…” So that was it, they decided that Patrick would play and John would push Patrick’s wheel chair. The father and son team became a part of the Louisville Marching Banding.

Patrick said, “God made me blind and unable to walk, BIG DEAL! He gave me the ability in the music gifts that I have, and great opportune to meet new people.” When people ask Patrick about his disability, Patrick would say, “Not Disability, More Ability!” Each one of us have the Ability, Opportune and Potenital inside us. All we have to do is to put it into action.

Today, Patrick Henry Hughes has his own music CD and his Book title “I Am Potential”. He also travels around the country to perform and give Keynote speeches.

Alltop - created by Guy Kawasaki is a digital magazine rack and it is an excellent site for information search and it works even better than Google in a lot of ways. For example: It you put a search on Google for inspiration you will get 102,000,000 sites. That is just too much information for most people. On the other hand, if you go to Alltop and search for inspiration you will see 34 high quality sites under inspiration. And I am proud to say that this blog Imperfect Action is one of 34 sites.

As you can tell being listed on Alltop is quite an honor. And to think just 4 months ago, I was viciously attacked by a PHD. She attacked me on my inability to write, my grammar and spelling etc. Honestly that did hurt and she did stop me from writing my blog, for about 5 seconds. Then I think to myself, I represent the “everyday people”. The ones that might not have: the perfect grammar, spelling or the perfect life… And I cannot let people like her stop us. The world is full of these un enlighten individuals. They work for a Monster call “Perfectionism” Their job is to stop us the “every day people.”

I decided that Ms. PHD can scrutinize me all she wants, but I am still going to continue to write. Because I know this is the only way I will get better, is to keep writing. I have to say I am so glad that I kept writing and I am getting better and better at it. And today I am listed on Alltop along side with all the other great bloggers!

Thank you, Alltop for believing in me.
