The Root Chakra is located in the Perineum. Imagine a clockwise vortex of Red energy opening downwards between the legs. The energy centers at the base of the spine (coccyx) and extends up into the spinal column. In its natural and healthy state, the Root Chakra is always at least slightly open. This chakra is associated with being grounded. It relates to self-preservation, sexuality and reproduction, security, individuality, and the physical body. In a balanced state, this chakra brings us health, prosperity, courage and patience. It is associated with the sense of Smell and the element of Earth. It connects to the Gonads. The function of the Root Chakra is to build our foundation. It brings Earth energy into the body to stabilize us and balance the endocrine system. It also serves to remove negative or “toxic” energy from the body and auric field, returning it to the Earth to be neutralized. An underactive or closed Root Chakra is associated with feelings of unhappiness or anger towards your body, anxiousness and fear, the inability to put down roots, lack of sexual pleasure, and feeling out of control of your life. Signs of imbalance are anemia and cold hands and feet. An overactive Root Chakra may lead to obsessions with material possessions or sex, being easily and often angered, and over eating or weight issues. Crystals and gemstones can help to stimulate, quiet, and balance the chakras. You can lay the crystal directly over or near the chakra, or hold it in your hand, for 15-30 minutes. To stimulate and balance the Root Chakra, you can meditate with Garnet, Carnelian, Red Jasper and Ruby. To ground the Base Chakra, counter negative energy and provide protection, use Obsidian, Smoky Quartz or Black Tourmaline. Emerald and Lodestone (Magnetite) will calm an overactive Root Chakra. Aromatherapy is the use of essential oil from plant compounds to enhance mental, emotional, and physical health. To use, mix a few drops of the pure essential oil with a base carrier, such as sweet almond oil. Rub the oil between your palms and inhale. Then sweep your hands over the auric field of your Root Chakra, first in a counterclockwise, and then in a clockwise pattern. You can also add the essential oil to your bath water, use in an oil diffuser, or massage on your body in the diluted form. The stimulating aromatherapy scents for the Root Chakra are Lavender and Hyacinth. The calming scents are Cedarwood and Patchouli. To charge an underactive Root Chakra, try eating red-colored fruits and vegetables. If the Root Chakra needs to be calmed, try eating more green vegetables, such as lettuce, spinach and cabbage. Root Chakra Affirmation: “I choose to release all fear now. I know that I am protected and all my needs are met abundantly.”

Fourth-Dimension Whether or not you choose to consciously participate in the Shift of Consciousness that is occurring, it will continue to accelerate within you and around you. You can choose to consciously experience and create during this time the outcome you desire, but it is a choice. The beliefs you hold on this side of The Shift will determine how you experience on the other side of The Shift. We are moving into instantaneous time where your thoughts will immediately manifest into reality. We are moving into the Fourth-Dimension. The vibrational patterns of third-dimension are by definition always out of balance. In this state, the Law of Attraction picks up on our conscious and subconscious beliefs and emotions, and it reacts to our vibrations. When we hold strong beliefs such as lack, doubt, fear and anger, we attract situations in our lives filled with lack, doubt, fear and anger. In order to move into the fourth-dimension, you must change your frequencies and hold a higher vibration. The darkness of the third-dimension is created by how you choose to believe. Whether you believe “it is” or “it isn’t,” you are correct. The Law of Attraction gives you what you place your attention on. Low vibrations such as anger, frustration, blame, resentment, etc. can’t exist in the higher vibrational dimensions. It is time to make a choice. It is time to choose to step out of the darkness and live in a state of beauty, presence, greatness and love. From this place of conscious creation, the Law of Attraction gives you the positive outcomes you desire. The fourth-dimension is a state of balance. This is a place of possibility and choice, a place where you can begin to create the life you desire, a place where you become fully conscious of your greatness and reclaim your power. With these waves of Light that are spreading across the energy grids of Earth, you are now being given the opportunity to replace your old limiting beliefs and unwanted patterns with new choices to create harmony and balance. Everything that you are not and that does not belong to you is being cleared away. You are beginning to remember who you really are and why you came here. In order to step into the fourth-dimension, you must make the choice to become conscious and present. In this space, there is only Present Time. There is only NOW. Fear will keep you in the third-dimension. The past is only information and does not determine the future in fourth-dimension. You create your own future and opportunities by the conscious choices you make. Emotions only exist in present time. You cannot bring your pains of the past with you into the fourth-dimension. You can only feel the emotions of past experience in the present moment. It is your choice to re-experience the emotion again, or LET IT GO. Conscious choice allows you the possibility of a life filled with happiness, ease, love, health, balance and harmony. As you begin to realign your thoughts and vibrations, you begin to take back your power. You begin to look inside yourself and find the answers. You begin to remember yourself as the Being of Light and Love that you are. And since heavy, negative vibrations do not exist here, the Law of Attraction reflects back only positive, powerful, loving vibrations, and gives you more of the same. Fifth-Dimension The fourth-dimension is a necessary step to move into the higher vibrations of fifth-dimension consciousness. Fifth-dimension is a fully conscious state of reconnection with your Higher Self. From here, you reconnect to your Soul, live from the Heart, and recognize the Oneness of all that is, that ever was, and ever will be. Physical density ceases to exist and limitations dissolve. In this state, everything is Light, fluid, flexible and easy. In the fifth-dimension there is only Simultaneous Time. Everything exists in all places at all times. Past, Present and Future do not exist as such. All possibilities exist here. As you raise your vibrations and activate your Light Body in simultaneous time, all of your past, future, and parallel lives merge into one consciousness. Any sadness or pain disappears, and only the greatness remains. You are the master of your own destiny, choosing from infinite possibilities on your journey. The Shift is an extraordinary event, allowing you the possibility to let go of who you are not, and recognize and remember the true value of yourself as a Divine being. To take the journey means becoming conscious of your ability to choose a different way of being and experiencing. Each moment offers you the opportunity of choice. As you choose happiness, love, compassion, grace, beauty, and presence, you begin to find your way back Home, to where you came from and where you belong. You are already on the path. All you have to do is ask for the opportunity, and allow the path of possibility to unfold before you. Love and Light, Cymry

In Part 1, I explained The Shift and what that means for your spiritual evolvement. Here I will explain in more depth how it relates to the third-dimension. Many of the “Ascension symptoms” you’ve been experiencing (headaches, fatigue, memory loss, time appearing shorter) are due to the changes happening in your level of consciousness at this very important moment, as we step into the lighter fourth and fifth dimensions of consciousness. The Third Dimension In third-dimensional reality, our negative emotionally charged thoughts are held in our body. These are much different from the light, pleasant feelings of the fourth dimension. If we have strong negative thought forms such as anger, guilt, hate, or blame, we feel sensations of heaviness and discomfort in our bodies. Holding onto these thoughts, consciously or unconsciously, for an extended time may even lead to dis-ease in mind and body. Our thoughts create our reality. Since the Law of Attraction gives you exactly what you put your attention on, these emotionally charged thoughts then create the experiences in your life. So, if you’re feeling angry and cursing at the driver who cut you off, you are sending out energy vibrations to the Universe such as, “I don’t like bad, careless drivers that cause me to get into accidents.” Then, two days later you get into an accident! Your thoughts created it. This is what you had your attention on, and you were sending out strong emotional vibrations to the Universe, so you got exactly what you asked for. This is the Law of Attraction. Third-dimension is very limiting, rigid and full of noise. Time in 3rd-dimension is a loop, although we don’t think of it that way. We think of time as fixed and linear (Past-Present-Future). Therefore, we take an experience from our past (“Dad told me I am a failure”), then project that belief into our future as a conscious or unconscious Expectation ("I'm no good at anything"), and step into that present time experience, affirming your original belief ("See, I was right. I'll always be a failure"). And the loop continues– over and over and over. Unfortunately, we also have judgment and duality in the 3rd-dimension. This is the “me versus them” concept, separating us from each other and creating fear and anxiety. Our rational, logical minds are so focused on these structures that we convince ourselves we don’t have choice. “This is the way it has always been, this is the way it will always be.” However, this is all changing as the veil over human consciousness lifts with The Shift, freeing us to move into the 4th and 5th dimensions, by conscious choice. Next time… the Fourth Dimension!! Love and Light, Cymry

Maybe you've already heard that "something" is happening as 2012 approaches. But what exactly is happening and how does it affect YOU? Perhaps you've begun to notice that time appears shorter, you're losing your memories of past events, old issues are popping up into your awareness, friends are falling out of your life, or you're experiencing changes in sleeping and eating patterns. All of these are related to The Shift. You are beginning to Awaken, as imbalances and old aspects of you fall away and you realize who you are truly meant to be. The Shift is referring to a Wave of Light and Energy moving throughout the Universe, creating a global rise in human consciousness. We are moving from the very heavy Third Dimension into the lighter Fourth and the Fifth Dimensions. It is in the Fifth Dimension that we are aligned with Higher Consciousness. From this place, conscious creation happens instantaneously. We realize our Pure Potential and live in love and gratitude. In the Third Dimension, we experience a ton of noise and distraction. Here we hold onto worry, pain, fear, and anxiety. We focus on our past and project similar experiences into the future. Unfortunately, the Law of Attraction gives us exactly what we put our attention on. If we ask for abundance, yet we are vibrating with thoughts and fears such as "I'm not worthy, I don't deserve it," we will attract lack. The Universe gives you exactly what you put your attention (energy) on! To attract exactly what you truly desire, you must first identify what you want (intention), then put your attention on your intention. The most important, and most neglected, part of the equation is you must create the EMOTION (e.g. Joy) behind the intention. Only then will the Universe grant your wish. You must FEEL the emotion as if you've already received exactly what you desire, trusting that it is so. The Shift is occurring throughout all of humankind. As we begin to awaken, we will learn how to live from the Heart, rather that from the mind. Find your passion and recognize that you are a Divine spark of Love and Light. You are a unique and powerful Being with much to contribute. Love and Light! Cymry

I recently attended a Spiritual Book Club, filled with intelligent women looking to improve their own lives, and the lives of others. One woman, a Chakra expert, led us through a series of Kundalini exercises and Chakra meditations. Afterword, we all began laughing, smiling, and remarking at how much lighter we felt! It was apparent to us all that a shift had occurred on the physical and emotional levels. Personally, I felt a strong shift in my heart chakra, as if I had released a ton of toxic energy and replaced it with love! As we sat around chatting, one of the women told the story of how she came to know of Amma, a Humanitarian known for giving HUGS to some 25 million people worldwide! People come from all over the world, standing in line for hours or even days, to get a chance at experiencing Amma's loving embrace. It is even known to produce amazing changing in one's mood, physical being, and life. Some describe it as Unconditional Love flooding their being. When Amma was once asked why she does this, her response: “If you ask the river,' why do you flow?' what can it say?” Amma's story inspired me and I'd like to share this quote from her website: "A one word solution to all the problems the world is facing today is 'Compassion.' - Amma Visit Amma's mission at http://www.amma.org/amma/index.html

Mindful Awareness is a calm state of consciousness in which mind, body and emotions are actively observed. Science proves that incorporating mindfulness into daily life brings about a lowered stress response, which is caused by the body's fight-or-flight mechanism. This means less aches and pains, improved attention, decreased anger, and overall physical health and well-being. Mindful Awareness includes more than the practice of meditation or yoga. You can bring a mindful approach into your day with a few simple techniques. - Focus on your breathing. Take deep, comfortable breaths from your abdomen. - Before eating, close your eyes and focus on how your body feels. Are you anxious, excited, calm? Pay attention to the smells, flavors and textures of each bite, and chew your food slowly and completely to aid digestion. - Practice listening to what another person is really saying, without trying to come up with your response. You are more likely to communicate clearly, without misunderstandings. This also develops empathy and understanding of another person’s point of view. - Stand tall and plant your feet firmly on the ground, as if there are roots extending into the Earth. Imagine your head and chest are extending to the sky. This opens your lungs up to receive more oxygen and prevent tight muscles. - Practice bringing Mindful Awareness into everything you do, whether it's brushing your teeth, driving in rush-hour traffic or stretching your body after a good workout. Through a daily mindful approach, we can combat the ill effect of today's stressful world. Remember, it really is as simple as "JUST BREATHE."

Confidence is stopped in its tracks by feelings of fear, guilt and discouragement. When these negative feelings come up, we must allow ourselves to feel them, instead of fighting against them. It may seem counter-intuitive, but this is how pent-up feelings are released, rather than giving them more power. Just for today, make the decision to enjoy the feelings of fear, depression, etc. and give yourself a break. Stop criticizing yourself for having these feelings! We are all human, having human emotions and experiences. Right now, answer this question: What would it feel like to allow myself the complete freedom to enjoy my misery for a day or two? We beat ourselves up so much that we become fragile and always at the mercy of wanting someone's approval outside of ourselves. The problem with that is you can never please everyone and there will always be disappointment. We must learn to love ourselves and accept ourselves, then we will attract the people and life we desire. Start now by finding 5 things you are grateful for. Then each morning, find 5 more. Taking little steps like these each day will create more happiness and self-confidence!

According to a recent report by the American Psychological Association, 82% of Americans are stressed about money issues these days. People feel overwhelmed and unprepared in the midst of our current financial crisis. It has long been known that extreme stress leads to health problems, including high blood pressure, weakened immunity and disease. So how can you unwind from excessive anxiety? De-stressing Tactics: Experience hypnosis -- Hypnosis has been proven to greatly reduce anxiety and stress after just one session. A Hypnotherapist will guide you into a deeply relaxed state, much like meditation, where the subconscious mind is more open to accepting positive suggestions. Then the therapist will guide you through an imagery journey to further quiet the mind and go deeper within. Using post-hypnotic suggestions, limiting beliefs and negative attitudes can be effectively removed, allowing for positive changes to your attitude about wealth, health, and general prosperity. The end result: it becomes far easier to effectively deal with the everyday problems of life, freeing you to manifest success, happiness and overall vitality. Go for a hike -- Or a walk. Research shows that 30 minutes of daily exercise significantly decreases the toll that stress inflicts on your emotions, not to mention your body. With exercise, your blood pressure drops, your mind becomes sharper and your brain releases “feel good” endorphins. Even a 10-minute walk when you find yourself overwhelmed with paying bills will help you calm down. Whether taking a stroll around the block, hiking in the mountains, or jogging on the beach, the point is, find some form of physical activity you enjoy and do it, often. The results will be remarkably beneficial. Plug into your iPod -- We all know that music affects our moods. It has the ability to ease our nerves, lift our spirits, and even inspire spontaneous dancing! So put on your favorite uplifting tunes and sing your heart out. Or, when you’re winding down at the end of a long day, cue up some calming music, and allow yourself to relax. After all, you deserve it. Get your zzz’s -- Studies show we need at least 7 or 8 hours of quality sleep to feel fully rested and function at peak mental capacity. Too little and our nerves are easily frazzled, making us more prone to stress. If you’re having trouble falling asleep at night, light some lavender scented candles and climb into a hot bubble bath one hour before bedtime. When you get out, make sure to keep the lights around the house low, and avoid watching television, as you prepare your mind and body for sleep. Give yourself a 5-minute massage with some vanilla or lavender lotion to lull yourself into sleepy time. Make sure your room is completely dark and invest in blackout curtains if you’re not ready to wake up with the sun. Find a hobby -- Wonder why knitting has become such a popular pastime? The repetitive action and focus required induces a “relaxation response.” It slows the heart rate, lowers blood pressure and improves mood. If you don’t like knitting, though, you’re still in luck. Painting, sewing, cooking, gardening, playing golf – any activity you like that requires concentration – will have a similar effect on your mood. The key is, let go of the stress and just have fun! Consider charity -- If you have a lot of free time on your hands (thanks to the current economy), take your mind off of your own problems for a while by helping out at a local charity. Or become a mentor. People who volunteer tend to be happier overall and feel more satisfied with life. Giving back feels good… and you never know when it could lead to a paid gig! Look for the opportunity -- I heard Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith say, “A good crisis is a terrible thing to waste!” And he’s absolutely right. People who look for new opportunities when things don’t go as planned are more likely to feel in control of their lives and be happier overall. Successful people do not limit themselves to the way things used to be. They look for innovative ways to adapt. Maybe that means using your new-found free time to finish a book you’ve always wanted to write. Or learn a new language, which can lead to new career opportunities down the road. The point is, rather than focusing on the past, be open to wonderful, life-changing opportunities that you may not have considered before. It can help you get through difficult times, and build a better future than you ever thought possible.

Fear triggers the fight-or-flight response to release hormones that are responsible for anxiety and depression. In order to combat this response, you must re-train your brain to calm your mind and body. To stop the fight-or-flight response that occurs on an almost daily basis when we are under stress, try following these techniques: -Avoid all caffeine, sugar, alcohol, and stimulants. -Avoid people who contribute to your fear and seek out nurturing relationships. -Do not watch the news or violent t.v., especially before bedtime. -Take hot baths regularly to clear away muscular and energetic tensions. -Practice a Progressive Relaxation daily: Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Take 3 deep cleansing breaths and imagine all tension leaving your body with each exhale. Visualize a beautiful white light entering your body. If you are lying down, begin with your toes, drawing the comforting light slowly through your legs, stomach, back and arms all the way to your head. If you are sitting, do it the opposite way, starting at the crown of your head and sending the relaxation to your feet. Take about 5-10 minutes to complete this process. Continue to take deep abdominal breaths. -Anytime you feel fear or anxiety come up, take some deep relaxing breaths and imagine your feet have roots extending deep into the ground. This will help you stay grounded and balanced.
