Problems! We all have them, and we all want to find solutions to help solve our problems. But is every problem really “bad”, or do our problems have a higher purpose? Many of the problems we face in life have come disguised as teachers. Of course, there are some times in life that we know the source of our pain. Writing a check when you know you do not have the funds in the bank is an example of a self-created problem. But what about fear? Fear is not always a self-created problem, but even if it is self-created, fear can cause big problems. Fear comes in different forms. Sometimes we are afraid of failure, or maybe we are even afraid of success. So how do you find solutions to problems that stop you in your tracks and cause worry and anxiety? The first thing to do is stop looking for solutions. When you go looking for solutions you usually come up empty handed. Instead try receiving the solution. This is not how we are taught to get answers, but it takes the pressure off of you, and puts in back where it belongs…in God’s hands. When struggle stops you in your tracks ask yourself these questions:
Do I have to have an answer now?
Do I trust in the higher plan for my life?
Am I willing to let go of this problem?
Answering these questions will allow you to see if you are ready to face the problem, or if you’re still not ready to handle it. Where ever you are is fine. You have to start where you are. Acknowledge you don’t have the answers, and then sit back and ask your soul to give you the solution. Then surrender the issue to God and see what comes to you in the next day or two. The most important part of the process is surrender, and yet it is also the hardest. Try this practice on small things at first, and then as you feel comfortable to tackle bigger issues give it a try. The real solution to problems is to not create more problems in finding a solution. So look for the soul solutions. Your spirit has the answers to your questions. All you need to do is be quiet enough amidst the chaos to hear it.

P.S. Last night I had the opportunity to put this into practice…and guess what?? All I could see was chaos. So I slept on it. Today things are lighter. Not easier just lighter. So this is still a process for me, and everyday I am given opportunities to practice “receiving the solution”. Some days I am able to simply surrender to the practice, and other days I resist this practice. I would love to hear your stories of “Receiving Solutions” they will be a source of inspiration for all of us.
