Hello Divas :-D

I hope your day was productive and peaceful and that you are getting ready to head into a wonderful long weekend ( for those of you here in North America)...

Here I am just reading some notes on the two types of stress and the cost of stress...

I have learned that there is the stress that comes from an external factor such as being stuck in traffic, needing to wait longer than anticipated, upset children, and the list goes on.

And then there is the stress that is unconscious, that we are not even aware of - the stress that resides in our cellular memory. Now that is the stress that is at the root of our persistent challenges and illness.

This physical stress is not based on the outer circumstance but instead based on the internal programming that we incorporated a long time ago.

The cellular stress drains our energy, it suppresses our immune system, and causes us to have a negative perspective - one of fear, anger or sadness.

If we are not living the life we want - the solution is not trying harder - but rather the solution appears to be getting to the root of our stress.

"We can get from where we are to where we want to be."

What is your solution to getting there?

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!;)

Hello Divas, :-D

This time of year brings much newness in many ways, whether your little ones are going to school for the first time, whether they are seasoned pros and know the routine well, or whether they are off to bigger steps like College... I believe Kahlil Gibran's poem says it well.

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts.
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.

We as Moms know that each age and stage has its gifts and challenges, yet they go by very quickly... frequently what our children are going through brings us back in time to when we were taking our steps to independence...

May I suggest a few tips to keep in mind as the next few weeks, months unfold...tips that I personally found to work well:

- take time to set the tone for the new school year;
- strive to hear what is being said in between the words of what they are sharing - listen for their feelings;
- try not to pass on your own fears and apprehensions (can be tough);
- kids need both love and boundaries;
- encourage them and praise them often;
- routines - good sleep, healthy meals go a long way;
- have fun, take time to snuggle and read them a good story;
- and remind them that they have all they need inside to succeed and to believe in themselves, to trust themselves before trusting another.

And most of all just stay connected, do not try to be a perfect parent- I learned a long time ago, there is only so much you can do as a parent.

Do your best - and allow yourself some rest - a chance to rejuvenate - as each change and new adventure demands energy, a dose of patience and discernment.

And thanks to technology, 15 minutes ago the Facebook message came through - my youngest has now arrived safely to his new home in British Columbia. :-D

I could feel his joy, his sense of accomplishment, for now he is following his path, his journey.... ;)

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!

Good day Divas,:)

A few months ago, I was asked to participate in a round table discussion at the 9th tri-annual International French Linguistic Symposium being held in our city, this week.

Now I must be honest - the thought of participating in such an event was most interesting - but the thought of voicing my opinions, and experiences with highly educated university profs, researchers, authors - was a little intimidating to say the least.

However, with courage in heart. and choosing to trust myself I said Yes!

So today was the day...and what an enriching experience it ended up being. :-D I met wonderful people from Germany and France, from across the Canadian landscape, and as well from right here in my own backyard.

The round table discussion went very well and what I was most pleased with was being able to remain in the moment, and not fret about what would be asked next and therefore requiring an unprepared answer.

Following the afternoon, the group was invited to our province's Governor General's house for an intimate reception, and an opportunity to mingle on an informal basis. It goes without saying that the food was delicious and the atmosphere delightful. I walked away an hour ago, feeling more confident for having agreed to participate; happy for the new contacts and acquaintances made,...

But I believe the real secret was once again, turning within ahead of time...tapping into my core, my subconscious knowing and getting out of my own way B-)

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance! ;)

Good day Divas:-D

Hope You had a fabulous weekend and are ready for another week...

I cannot speak for your area of the world, but here in Manitoba Canada - the energy of fall can be felt. Families are getting ready to go back to school on Septembrer 7th after our upcoming long weekend, the evenings are a touch cooler and the days are getting a touch shorter... and so the cycle begins once again.

Fall energy for me is really about going into the "Do Mode" at another level. It is the time I set up my routines for the next four months - till Christmas.

Yeah, I know... routines are not necessarily glamorous or sexy but my they do work. That is my reason for continuing to work with routines and trying to find the ones that allow for the most grace and ease throughout the days and weeks...

There are many benefits to consciously going into the "Do Mode" at the same time as the rest of the world - going with the flow is so much easier than swimming against the current.

You cannot control the wind but you can certainly adjust your sails.

Here are some of the advantages that I have found in consciously going into "Do mode" with routines in place:

- I can get up first thing in the morning and know what to do and how to plug into where I left off, even if my head on a particular morning is not completely clear;

- small amounts of attention, and intention towards a particular project gives big results if done on a continuous basis;

- small amounts of intention and attention to the desired goal strengthens my commitment muscles;

- consistent attention and intention towards my purposeful work retrains my neuronal pathways and my subconscious mind.

The point is, by implementing strategies in a routine way I increase my productivity, boost my self confidence and self-esteem, and most importantly I increase my level of self trust.

Now that ladies makes implementing routines at this time of year, all worth while to me.

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!;)

Hello Divas :-D

I just finished spending an afternoon researching education and parenting models, and once again the research points to a life lesson I learned several years ago... and that is "You cannot never give away what you do not own. One must be nurtured in order to nurture in return."

You see in many ways we have made leaps and bounds over the last 200 years when it comes to educating boys and girls, yet the next leap in evolution really depends on being able to let go of shaming and punishing... and being able to respect individual differences and unique interests.

However, in order to be able to do that for the young ones on this planet, we must first be able to do that for ourselves as adults. We must stop the blaming, the guilt, the shame that we put on ourselves and start to heal within.

Because when we are stressed, tired, overwhelmed, overworked, over stretched... it does not matter all the courses we have taken, all the knowledge we have accumulated... in the moment of stress, we will likely react the same way we were treated.

We need to learn to develop our emotional capacities - so that in turn we can cultivate that with our young ones.

Can you share what has worked for you in developing emotional capacity?

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!;)

Hello Divas and Goddesses :-D

I trust you have had a wonderful day...

So where do all the years go? Twenty two years ago I was holding a one month old, beautiful baby boy in my arms. Tonight, years later, I am getting ready to say good bye to my youngest - who has grown to be quite the young gentleman - as he leaves first thing Monday morning.

Rémi is moving to the west coast of Canada, to work with youngsters, teaching them hockey and really to live his path, his purpose and passion.

Although I will miss him terribly, I know he is ready for this next step. Confident, self-assured, a student of personal development for several years now, grounded, filled with joy and anticipation for his new adventure, he is packing what is essential and letting go of the rest. I really am very proud of him. :)

Now is it not part of our role as parents? To give them roots so that one day they can open their wings and take flight...

I guess that is where the years went and where they needed to go at the time - laying down a root system, a foundation so that one day he would know who he is, and could take a bold step out into the world, trust himself and move onward.

And for now, I am going to get up and make a batch of cookies for the road...

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!;)

Good day Ladies :-D

After another day of work, purpose, passion, nurturing and caring - were you left feeling satisfied with your efforts?

For many women - the list of to dos is long and never ending... and when we add to that a particular project, a creation or task that aligns with our purposeful path - somehow, no matter how much we do, we can still be left feeling inadequate.

Unless we recognize the "monster of more" and put healthy boundaries around it, we end up continuously feeling the pain of overwhelm, perfection...

A helpful strategy I learned this week from Jennifer Louden is to write your next day's satisfaction criteria the night before going to bed.

In other words, you plan out your next day and what you want to get done. Then you state what it will take for you to be satisfied with the time spent on your particular project. Declare what will be enough.

When we have achieved what is enough - STOP - and then the next day we have a place to start.

The point is to catch the trend of trying to do too much. If we keep trying to do too much we erode our sense of self trust and it leads to other things such as running late and being tired.

We are to declare that we are satisfied when things get done. The satisfaction is for getting things done and it is not dependent on how we feel.

Deciding on the criteria for satisfaction and having satisfaction as a stepping stone towards our goal will help us to feel grounded.

So looking back on my day - I would have to say I am satisfied - one thing from my list did not get done, but 4 other things did - so it all
worked out today.

Now off to write my satisfaction criteria for tomorrow.

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance ;)

Hello BraveHeart sisters:-D

Have You ever had the same message come at you more than once - from different folks and completely different circumstances?

Well I just did! Over the course of the last seven days, once from a complete stranger and once from a well known friend, I have received the same message twice.

Here are the words that were shared with me...

"Lynette, now a days we talk a lot about being of service... living our purpose and passion, so we may serve others. Well there is no more time to wait around if we are actually going to have a positive impact on the world.

That is right, no more time to wait around for perfection and getting it all done just so. Lynette, you and all of us must be taking action that will produce practical and tangible results NOW!

Otherwise if we wait around for perfection - we will run out of time and we will not like the results we witness in this world. The time for effort and solutions is now.

Lynette, of course this doesn't mean we are to go about delivering our message, gifts and talents in a frantic way, ungrounded and running around in too many directions at once. What it means is that You need to decide what is enough for today, and then go do it - even if you feel the fear - the fear of not being good enough, the fear of not being perfect enough.

Let yourself be spent in the effort of your mission and purpose. You can be afraid but do not let the fear stop you. The world needs your leadership, and your solutions now."

Having received this message twice - I am really feeling a sense of urgency.

What message or mirror has the Universe delivered to you lately that you should be paying particular attention to?

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance! ;)

Lynette

As a woman, where do You feel your power comes from? Where do you see your strength and influence originating?

At one point in my career path, I believed the only way to "succeed" was to observe how the guys were getting things done and do try and model that.

Reality is that it never felt natural. Yes, it worked a few times, but it was not sustainable as it didn't fit who I really was at my core, and furthermore it made me out of alignment.

What I have come to experience is that my power comes from my creativity, my ability to nurture, and my desire to be of service to others.

My power comes from my intuition. The more I develop and tap into my intuition the more I experience the truth of my power.

Over the last while my focus is more about how to use my creativity, my ability to nurture, and my desire to serve, to bring my unique gifts and talents to the world.

I also know that by doing so I will be living authentically and be in alignment. My abundance and my desired life are in my creativity.

I believe women are very powerful when using their creativity and tapping into their intuition. Women are meant to use their creativity and their intuition to live their life of purpose and passion.

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!:)

Hello Divas:-D,

I heard something yesterday that really made me sit up, " We either make ourselves miserable or we make ourselves strong - but the amount of work is the same."

Are we using our power to sabotage ourself? To block ourself? To twist ourself in knots?

Or are we using our power to propel ourselves?

At times we are subconsciously worried about what will happen if we are successful and therefore we sabotage ourselves by using our power negatively and turning it against ourselves.

How are You using your power and your strength?

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success, and Abundance!;)

Hello Divas,:-D

In this hectic fast paced world where we speak of time management, multi-tasking and invent a number of gadgets in order to help us beat the clock, we may be tempted to bypass our inner journey in order to get to "success" and collect the "goods" .

Not possible. It might work short term, but it will not provide us with sustainable success.

The more I learn and hear from successful people, the more clearly I can see the common element. They have taken the time to do their internal work along the way and continue to do so on a daily basis.

These folks have made a serious commitment to work as much on themselves as they do on their product or business.

Whether our purpose and passion is communicating our message through a book, a business, a healing practice... we are only communicating one thing - Us - You - Me. We are selling ourselves.

So we must ask ourselves a couple of important questions:

"Am I as fascinating as my business, my book, my practice?"

"How much of me, of my energy is in the book, the practice, the business?"

If we leave our inner journey out of the mix - our product and business risks becoming static. Our products and business has got to come from the inside.

Once again, learning to turn within is a crucial element to our happiness and success long term.

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!;)

Good day Divas! :-D

I hope you are enjoying a sweet weekend - here all is definitely good - another beautiful warm summer day - lots to be grateful fo,r and the creative juices are flowing...;)

Whether you are working on a single project, focused on your next business step, or more importantly focused on your best course of action when it comes to your family - taking time to flush out in your mind what is the end result / the end in mind that you desire - will pay off big time.

Think time and planning time at the start will save you lots of frustration, and unnecessary heartaches and headaches as you go along.

Step 1: What am I looking for? What do I want to achieve with _______(fill in the blank that suits you)?

Where am I headed?

What do I need to know (either financially, emotionally, spiritually, physically or in terms of relationships) that will assist me in going forward?

What is my goal?

Step 2: Determine Acceptable Evidence (to You and for You)

Now that you know what you want and where you are headed, what will be the evidence that will indicate to you that you are on the right track? That you are making progress?

Evidence of progress will be your encouragement along the way - it will help you stay motivated, focused and persistent!

How will you know your ___________________ is happening?

We need to think like an assessor or an evaluator as we plan our projects and life purpose.

Step 3: Plan your learning experiences, your tasks, and the execution of your plan that will get you to where you are wanting to go?

Once we have taken the time to get quiet and really know what we want and where we are heading - it becomes much easier to execute the necessary tasks in front of us. Because we can see how things are related, how they fit in our lives and why we are doing what we are doing.

Your life will be actually be infused with more ease and grace - there will be a lot less frenetic activity.

There is nothing more frustrating than doing something and not knowing why you are doing it. Or worse yet, realizing you did not really need to do it in the first place.

We are all very busy so it is important to be doing what is truly important and what really matters. ( to You) :)

In other words your business, your projects and your ____________ are the means to which end for you?

Like the old saying goes, "If you do not know where you are headed, any road will do."

To be on our path of purpose and passion, requires that we choose our activities and execute our tasks in a conscious manner.

May you have a wonderful start to your week and many fruitful reflections on the projects at hand.

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!;)

Good day Divas:-D,

A few blog posts ago... I wrote about having a foundation and building our life of purpose and passion on a solid foundation.

This week, I remembered something buried below at a deeper level. What I recalled was the importance of having building blocks to step on - a road map to follow - or a guidance system to help us move forward with confidence and ease - rather than having overwhelm and chaos that might follow in the "Jump and the net will appear philosophy."

The first step to any business creation, to any successful path of purpose, passion and service is to know who we really are.

We have all heard this but knowing who we are at our core is crucial.

In case you doubt that ... just look around and see who has created a very financially successful business - yet they feel trapped and unfulfilled - who are stressed and not experiencing deep joy.

Part of our business creation process includes answering the following questions for ourselves.;)

Who arm I ?

What are my greatest assets? Emotionally? Mentally? Creatively? Spiritually? Physically?

What do I really want? What is most important to ME - not to anyone else?

What are the 2-3 most difficult challenges I have experienced?

What meaning have I given to the difficult events in my life and which LOCKS have those events placed on ME? Have I taken the time and done the internal work to unlock the lock?

Reality is that everyone of your difficult challenges is actually worth a lot of money to you. :^OYes, read that once again. The challenges are the material that has provided the learning and given you your own area of expertise.

With the above answers in hand you can begin to claim your expertise, expand your vision and discover what you most want to teach others - coming from a heart perspective.

It is important to build our businesses, our path of purpose and passion around all of our life - around all of our knowledge - that only we can offer to the world in our own unique way coming from our unique experiences and perspectives.

How can you take what has happened to you and use it to serve others?How can you Take a low energy/vibration experience and turn it into a high energy/vibration solution?

As I have been working at answering these questions for myself over the last while I realize that they are in fact the first step to my business because the answers have given me more clarity, more confidence and have shown me my true purpose.

Wishing you some fruitful reflections and a weekend filled with moments of grace!;)

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!

Hello Divas - :-D,

I hope you have had a productive and satisfying week - along with some fun and down time...

Do you ever leave a conversation, replaying the words in your head?? - I must admit, I do.

And this week, I found the words I was sharing with others in the hope of bringing them some comfort and sense of wellness - could have been directed to myself.

I was hearing myself say such things as "It is important that you take some time off work to just relax and do something different.."

"Make sure you don't forget about getting some sleep".

"Be GENTLE with yourself."

"Sometimes you have to walk a part of the path by yourself as you discover new inner landscapes."

And so it went... And I thought I should perhaps follow my own advice this time around:^O

What have you recently caught yourself saying to others that were perhaps words meant really for YOU?!?

Happy musing... and may you be blessed with a weekend filled with moments of grace!

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance! ;)

Hello Divas :-D,

If you have been feeling overwhelmed and overworked -:( here is a ritual for you - the Evening pages.

First take a minute to breathe deeply, then pull out your paper and pen.

Write out the 3 most important things that you want to accomplish tomorrow - 3 things that will provide movement forward.

With a little practice, this seemingly simple nightly act will serve you very well:
-it will start to hone your intuition. ..
- you will sleep better because your confidence will rise (You see, part of the stress that keeps you awake is that you are not trusting yourself to get certain things accomplished.)
- your level of focus will inccrease.

Next day, immerse yourself in those 3 things first. The energy that will open up for you when those 3 priority tasks get done ... is unbelievable.B-)

We must know what we want to do and actually do it. What do you want?

Next, tell yourself: "I am going deep in myself and these 3 things are getting done."

Then decide that you will be happy and satisfied accomplishing just those 3 things.

You do know that you will actually start getting a lot more done than just your 3 priorities - but start with smaller steps, do what you say you will do and watch the confidence build. ;)

A little discipline at the end of each day goes a very long way.

Cheers to manifesting more Joy, Internal Success and Abundance!
