There are many times in our lives where we experience an awakening to what is truly important in our lives. Yet so often we take alot of our daily existence for granted.

Since my niece had been in a coma for a couple of weeks, it brought to my attention how many simple, daily things I am grateful for. She brought an awareness to "living in gratitude". I am grateful that I can breathe, easily, on my own. That I awaken each day, can speak, move my arms, feet, fingers, tongue, eyes....all at my own will. Thankful that I can walk, even across the room, that I can remember yesterday, last year, or even farther back.

While I have been taught through different mentors the importance of writing a gratitude list daily...there are times it becomes routine..saying things like I appreciate my body, my family, etc.., but what I now realize is how much we should all express this gratitude in a heartfelt manner. Really FEELING grateful for every part of our existence.

My niece is awake, she is doing great, her current challenge is being able to walk...her legs are not yet doing what she tells them to do. We pray for her continued healing and her ability to walk again. Thanks to all of my wonderful braveheart sisters and friends for the continued support....I am grateful.

What a beautiful morning. Have you ever really felt Peace In you and Peace all around you?

I recently had one of those incredibly special moments. Peace at the core of my being.

As I walked the half mile down the road to feed some horses at our old corrals I was doing some meditating/prayers, when this ultimate sense of peace overwhelmed my senses. It completely settled into my core as I began the rest of my "full circle" return walk, which takes me past our little lake. As I began I noticed that it felt like I was not walking - the movement was completely effortless. It seemed a very strange sensation and at the same time it was total "peace", tranquility.

There was a flock of geese resting quietly on the edge of the lake, usually when I pass by they sift into the water and gently swim out a little ways, to the deeper waters. Yet today at this moment they never even moved. It was as if they knew there was no danger, no concern - almost as if I was not even there.

Complete "peace within" and "peace without" of myself and my space. While this amazing sensation lasted for only a short while in reality, it felt as if time had stood still. As my senses returned to a normal state, the feeling left a profound memory and a desire to feel this way again.

What a day it could be if everyone were to have this experience, this feelng of absolute peace once. Perhaps we would all stop and reflect on what is most important, what we could and should be doing, if Peace was In and Peace was Out.

I've gotten in quite a pickle
(My affairs look like those of the state of the union
United we are!)
My stream of income is but a trickle
While someone has opened the flood gates of expenses
We robbed Peter to pay Paul
Now the debtors won't cease to call
I went to the wishing well
It was dry, with nothing to tell
I'm plugging the holes as best I can
While working on an income plan
Around my wallet I build a Dam
Now Rich again, Yes I AM

I suspect that there are some people out there who can in these times relate to this poem. I encourage you to work on ways to put your income to work for you. Take some money management classes or read books that aid you in understanding how money works, how to handle and plan. One of the books I really enjoyed was "The Richest Man in Babylon".

By the way have you ever seen a little joke stuck in a poem?!]:) There are times when we just have to laugh, pick up our panties and Live life.

We have been learning that clarity will come after we have truly committed. So what does that have to do with Christopher Columbus? Everything!:-x

I was reading today in the "Streams in the Desert" book that is a daily devotional and this is the line that caught my attention: "What a lesson Christopher Columbus taught the world - a lesson of perserverance in the face of tremendous difficulties". Did he not fully commit before he had any clarity. There was no way that he knew what he would find, after all the world was flat! That is a lesson in commitment!

If a person can have that type of commitment, dedication, faith, why don't we when we are facing any challenge or opportunity. The clarity will appear if we give it a chance.

As a reminder here is what Dr Ellie's Lesson in Ease card says about commitment: The voice of my own intuitive advice is in essence the voice of the Divine being channeled through me. When I hear it, I must commit to it. Those who seek a guarantee before they commit, don't realize the true meaning of commitment. Clarity will come, after I have genuinely committed.

I held my first ever "inspiration in action" braveheart women introduction party last Saturday. Dr. Sugar flew in and as always was Amazing! It was a great time and we have some new women who will be joining us!:-D

As with all events there are lessons to be learned and I will say that I did some learning. To be honest I was a bit disappointed with the turn out, yet that is a lesson in preparation, and understanding the law of numbers (which I knew some). Yet in other respects it was a great turnout for the first event.

Here are some of the other lessons I learned and will take forward into all aspects of my life:
1) Take control, give direction
2) Be the leader...you are and want to be
3) Qualities of being a speaker....relax and breathe
4) The Art of presentation...as a speaker
5) Strike while the "iron is hot"...as a marketer, how to close a deal 6)Surrounding yourself with Women who have VISION and those who are Inspired. This last lesson was very prominent to me...ever since becoming a braveheart woman and being active with blogging, our events, the release events, phone calls, messages, etc..with all the other women of this community has kept me with women who have a vision of the future for themselves, other women, this community and the world. By hosting this event I had a look at how many women do not see that vision, are having a challenge stretching and growing. But yes there are some who now can and are seeing the vision(s). That is why I had my party, to introduce them to what is available, give them a path to follow, a place to go and a place to grow.

I greatly appreciate how much I have been able to grow and expand being in this community and how much each and every woman in this community means to me:-x

My party is just beginning as I plan to continue with inspiring the women in this area, now that the door is open. As a leader and Braveheart Woman I will continue to inspire. As a leader I will share what I learn and can give others.

Seems like there are times in life when we must learn another lesson. Mine right now seems to be "detachment".

Here is what Dr Ellie says in her Easier Done than Said series. "Detaching occurs when I no longer look to find my sense of identity within my own accomplishments. Detachment is not passivity, it is non-positionality. I now Intend, Detach, and Take Action.

I am aware right now that this is my lesson and I am learning and accepting of it. I have been intending and taking action, while remembering to be detached. Not everything works out exactly as I think it should, that is why detachment is important...it does not cause me to feel that my "identity" is wrapped in the accomplishment. I must be growing if I am aware of the lessons. This is one of the lessons: I had intended to post a blog everyday...well that started well, was a good intention and I was taking action, then "life interrupted" . Not being attached to the result and that I did not accomplish my goal has not been harmful to my purpose or my identity, it is alright, I am still intending and taking action.

Another interesting point is that in the being aware of the lesson, I can also look back and see where other events have been teaching me, stepping out and seeing where I have been and looking forward to where I may go.

Can you look back and see your own lessons? What is life teaching you? Are you detached? Are you intending and taking action? What are you waiting for?

I have been sitting in the back seat
Allowing time and circumstance to drive my life
While at times we have traveled a favorable route
It has not brought me to the vacation spot I intended
No longer will I sit in the back and be a passive passenger
Today I became my own chauffer
Driving my own way
Yeilding only while necessary, while stoppiing at nothing
No road blocks, no detours
Only open highway ahead
Shine with your lights on bright and Drive ON

Where in the World am I?
The middle of somewhere
Or absolutely nowhere
Am I lost, waiting to be found?
Is my mission impossible?
Am I driving on the road to success?
Or aimlessly down the highway of life?
Do I use my oxygen and time constructively?
Or am I hot air, wasting or occupying space?
Am I in Heaven on Earth?
Or living in my own Hell?
My decisions will determine
Where in the World am I?

In the December 2009 Success Magazine I was reading the arcticle by John C Maxwell "Be a Dealer in Hope" . I was moved by the following quote he had from the Jonathon Sack's book "The Dignity of Difference" which states:
"One of the most important disctinctions I have learned in the course of reflection on Jewish history is the difference between optimism and hope. Optimism isthe belief that things will get better. Hope is the faith that, together we can make things better. Optimism is a passive virtue; hope an active one. It takes no courage to be an optimist, but it takes a great deal of courage to have hope.

Here is to having hope in all that you undertake, and courage to do the actions necessary to obtain your goals.

Hello to all my incredible braveheart sisters. I am sending out this personal prayer request. I would appreciate all your prayers and healing energy be sent to my niece. Her name is Leanna, she was injured in a horse accident last Sunday. She currently remains in a coma. We (family) are awaiting her "awakening" and a speedy recovery with no complications. Other than the trauma to her head she has no other injuries.

I deeply appreciate and am very grateful for all my wonderful braveheart sisters positive energy and prayers sent her way. Thank you all very much.

I had a dream the other night. It was kind of like the movie about Scrooge, where the ghost of Christmas past comes to visit.

Anyway in my dream there were 3 holes up in the sky (hard to describe). Maybe more like a peep hole to look through.

The first hole was the past. It showed me people, places, and things I had done or known previously. Then the middle hole was the present. It too showed me people, places and things that I am doing. Everything seemed so very real.

Next I was led to look through the last or 3rd hole. I was thinking OH great, the future. It will be awesome to see what is in my future. I will be given a glimpse into what is coming. I was full of excitement, eager to see how wonderful life was going to be. Even a little anxious, nervous.

As I climbed the ladder to look through this 3rd hole I took a deep breath, and peeked in. To my utter amazement and total surprise there was nothing there. Empty space, wide open, blank. I sat in this amazement and astonishment, trying to comprehend what it meant. Catching my breath I was instinctively told it was blank because it has not been written yet. I create my future, my destiny. The future has not happened yet, so there is nothing there. I will write my future.

Start working on your future today.

The movie the “Bucket List” was about what you would want to do before you “kick the bucket”. In the movie money was not an issue, there was plenty. That was the one thing that was abundant. Health and time were not.

My thoughts were not about kicking the bucket but about filling my buckets. Wouldn’t it be fun to make a list of all the things you could do when your buckets were full? Your financial bucket, relationship bucket, physical bucket, spiritual bucket, bucket of love, bucket full of joy. The list goes on and on. There are so many buckets to list and to fill.

I would like to have money buckets full so that I may give to charities, organizations, my church, to support my community.

Lets all work on our “Bucket List” to enhance our prosperity and our abundance..

Sleeping in can’t seem to awake While my puppy dog is waiting at the yard gate Chores to be done, pets to be fed Oh, I can’t seem to get out of this warm, comfy bed.

It’s getting late, I really can’t wait My mother tried to warn me, but it was too late Cows to be milked, chickens to be freed from the shed Oh, I could have married the banker instead.

Now I live as a rancher’s wife Rolling in the hay doesn’t mean the same in this life. I’m counting my blessings instead everyday For the sunshine or the rain, whatever is sent my way.

The best thing about this rancher’s first date We turned out to be true soul mates.

Here is a new way to look at fears. Use your fear as a building block to move forward.

How? To begin with we want to look at the reality of the fear. Usually when we break down the fear we find it is unfounded. When we step back and examine what the fear is about then we can look at ways to create the building blocks t remove the fear. It is like taking small steps forward to overcome the fear.

I used to have an “airport phobia”. I had a fear of not knowing how to get around in those big city airports, (I am working in small steps on this) along with how to get to the hotels and back again. Being from a small town, going to the city can cause a good bit of fear and anxiety. Slowly though I have been using the building block theory to overcome this perceived Evil!

By looking at reality, the fear has no basis. Using the building blocks I know there are signs everywhere in the airports to guide and direct everyone. When I stop, look, breath and relax I can go on my way. Besides, there are lots of people in the airport who can direct and assist us. Each time I travel I use my past experiences to build on and gain more confidence. I may not be totally comfortable however I am not as fearful…for I am Brave and I listen to the voice of reason.

Take a deep breath and build on your fear until you take control. Most times you will find there was nothing to fear once you broke it down in reality. Unless you are actually in physical danger fear is basically in our imagination.

Have you ever come to figure out that God (or the Universe) has been “yelling/whispering at you for a long time, but you didn’t realize or listen to it. (OK, I’m slow at times)!

I am a collector of pens. I don’t really know where they all come from. I seldom purchase any, but we have pens in abundance. A box full in our spare room, they have been there for years. Pens in our car, and in our truck. There is a container I bought recently to put all the pens in that were accumulating on the counter top. There is a decorative cup in our living room that is also storing some pens!

It has taken me a long time to come to the realization as to why we have so many pens. It is so I will write. That is MY purpose.

This evening after I made this great “understanding” I asked my husband “Do you know why we have all these pens around the house?” (Of course he said he did)! He said he was going to throw away that box in the spare room one day but for some reason he changed his mind. (HMMM) Guess that was a sign. God works in mysterious ways.

Well it took me years to “awaken” to my purpose (thanks to Ellie). Since God has provided me with all these pens, I will rely on him for the words too!

Have you ever had that feeling of great expectancy? Knowing that something fantastic, incredible could be about to happen, and would happen to you soon.

Can you imagine the Feeling that you would have if you were the first player into the stadium before a game. The first rider into the arena before a big show. The first speaker to walk across the stage before anyone else was in the auditorium?

As you look around, you picture the people filing in to watch you perform. They are here "expecting" to see something magnificent. You can hear them clapping and cheering. You can feel the excitement, the energy.

It is the feeling of great expectancy, all the great possibilities. The feeling of an accomplishment and a mixture of anticipation for "what's next ?". You expect to give a great performance. To give these people everything they expected and more. To over deliver!

Now can you imagine what you could accomplish if you took that same feeling and desire into everything you do? Into your business, your family, your relationships. If you can expect great things of yourself you can get ready to receive because you can and will achieve. Expectations are a form of belief. Accept, Except and Believe.
