This is amazing, a site for strong women and a place for support.
I run a non-profit organization and started it when I was 16, I am now 18. I fight very hard for my business because it's not a well known condition that I support. I have had RSD for 10yrs now, and it is a terrible condition to have. I refuse to let it suck the life out of me, but it is very hard at times. I usually get "I don't know what that is" sorry I can't help you. My response is "Everything has to start somewhere, all the cancer foundations had to have a beginning" I am also young so people think I am not serious about this. Oh boy are they wrong, I could not be more serious about this just ask the board members lol. I help others buy durable medical needs and medication when they can't afford them , I help spread the awareness of RSD, and donate money to UCLA to help find a cure for this monster. No one involved with helping Rock Out To Knock Out RSD, inc. are paid. All money goes right back into helping others, that is why I wanted to start my own non-profit. I wanted to know exactly where every cent was going, and keep the organization honest and caring.
I am looking forward to reading all the stories and post of other women that believe "they can do any thing" and support each other.
Thank you,
Ashley
