I love this quote because the truth is, at the end of the day, we are all what we choose to be!

The caveat is, have we chosen "consciously"!

This post is about choosing to Be Beautiful in the world!

Beauty is not just skin deep.
Beauty is a way of Being and of living in the world that allows for the flow of Good to be experienced and expressed.
Beauty is the Universe's manifest glory!

In the last several years, tremendous upheavals, changes and transformations have taken place. If you are reading this, you are spiritually attuned and know that a "Great Shift" has occurred on a planetary scale. But I want to talk about how you may be dealing with it closer to Home.

The way this has shown up for many of us, this author included, may not have always felt comfortable. We have been required to stretch beyond our former limitations and found a strength we did not know that we possessed.

There have been great rewards, and there have also been great personal sacrifices. All that could be shaken, was shaken and only the most hardy facets of our Self remained. In the aftermath, as you sift through the rubble, preparing to rebuild on new and sturdier foundations...you may feel perplexed.

Remember, this world operates by certain natural laws. It is:
*Dense
*Impermanent
*Unpredictable

It is built to be temporal, if only to remind us that we are Spirit Beings having a Human experience...that we are Souls who just happen to possess a body.

Accept the rules of the game with love and understanding. Do it now, even if you have railed against them. You would not fault the rain for falling or the wind for blowing. Remember the truth of who you are.

If there is one certainty, its that everything will eventually change. Some of the changes you are facing may feel like loss. Perhaps you no longer have your beloved home, car, job or career. It may be that you no longer have the companionship of a spouse, lover or even the same friends.

I want to remind you that no-thing is lost except what we cling to. Breathe that in as you stand here with your Spirit naked and your heart open and vulnerable. Nothing is lost.

Trust in the eternal, unchangeable Divine within you expressing as you. Let go of the fear of change. Nothing is lost.

Trust that you are loved and fully supported by the entire Universe. Let go of the fear that losing your things means losing yourself. Nothing is lost.

The essence of you is not connected to your external affairs, conditions or the people in your life. You are whole, complete and perfect. No-thing may change this truth about you. And knowing this truth changes everything!

On the auspicious upcoming date of 12.21.12 I will be offering Angel and Oracle Card Readings and Life Coaching Sessions by phone.

I personally believe that this date will usher in a lot of wonderful and extraordinary energies that will help us all to create the life and the world that we want!

If you have any concern about the Mayan Calendar or some of the doomsayer prophecies out there; I wish to put your mind at ease.

Allow yourself to access the new and expansive levels of consciousness available to you and ride the wave of high energy vibrations on that day!

On that day, join in the many planned group meditations, sing, dance, chant and connect with nature and other people!

Above all expect miracles! Remember miracles are just shifts from a perception of fear to the truth of Love. Know that you can manifest faster now than ever before! So guard your thoughts and your words. Be loving and be vigilant!

Somewhere, inside of our experience as human beings; and especially as women in this 3D world (where we are taught that we are the "weaker sex") we do not feel safe.

At sometime, we got the message that the world is a mean, scary and dangerous place...and if we were not extremely careful, we would end up hurt or worse.

We were not taught that our mis-takes, so called failures and the choices that were not always reflective of our highest good...are just part of the learning curve.

Perhaps like myself, you were sexually abused. Maybe you experienced physical abuse, hurt, loss or betrayal at the hands of another.

The story you told yourself, about yourself, might have been that you were somehow destroyed, tainted or irreparably damaged by these experiences.

Because of that story about your experience; your heart's ability to trust has been buried in your overwhelming fear and the erroneous belief that you are not safe.

Because you felt that you were not safe; you have searched for safety and security everywhere. You have dealt with bad relationships, become an overachiever or settled for living small.

As if, the experience of love you desire were somehow to be found outside the boundaries of your own heart.

Now that you recognize yourself as a Spirit Being having a human experience and as a Soul who just happens to have a body...it may be that you are willing to awaken your "Trusting Heart" again!

Take a deep breath! Tap into the Love that you are! Feel that Light inside you...be willing to learn to trust yourself!

Self-Trust...
Is the gentle reliance in the strength, confidence, capability and grace that God has implanted in your heart from the day you were conceived. It is the readiness to choose without fear or the thought of being “wrong”.

It is the calm assurance in the truth of your being and in your ability to act from a place of “higher knowing.” It is the certainty that you and God are not separate but One Heart and One Mind. And in knowing this, you know that God cannot fail!

Above all, a Trusting Heart is an act of Faith and an outpouring of Love for yourself and the wisdom that you are safe and secure within and so you are safe and secure without.

Plant the new roots of your Trusting Heart inside of the fertil soil of Source. Choose not to depend on people or conditions to give you the experience of Love, safety and security.

Choose to develop a Trusting Heart!

There is a very real difference between barriers and boundaries.

Barricades keep things out; and they also keep us locked in.

Boundaries are fluid, organic things that allow the flow and exchange of energy consciously.

Many of us walk around with our hearts shut down and barricaded in.

We have built so many walls of protection for so long; we have forgotten what it is like to live without them.

And so, we live inside our emotional forts guarding against the experience of hurt and pain. Afterall, hurt and pain are the enemy...right?

What if...
Just what if...
You no longer need to be protected?

What if the hurt and pain that you were attempting to keep out was actually causing you hurt and pain?

Your barriers will not allow the natural flow of Love...because your attention is focused on percieved suffering.

You are an emotional vigilante, who, looking for what is wrong...will always find it. Expecting to always be hurt, let down and disappointed we will continually draw these experiences to us so that we may prove that we are right.

So we exclaim, "See what happens when I let my guard down!" (And in truth, the wall never came down, not for a single solitary second. You just peeked over a bit.) So we take up our lonely vigils upon the cold stone walls of our wounded hearts. And the cycle continues.

Love requires a little something called vulnerability. To be vulnerable, we need to be willing to take down the barriers and create boundaries.

Boundaries are based on trust. Before you hyperventilate, I am not referring to trusting someone else (that comes later) but learining that you can trust yourself.

Creating a proper boundary requires that you be present in your own life and that you be conscious, aware and awake!
Something you never had to do inside your barriers.

Boundaries are an extension of an internal process of knowing who you are, loving who you are, knowing what you want, and standing in your own truth and power!

Sounds like a tall order you say...
Well, yes. Yes, it is!
You can't skip the work!
And, trust me the rewards are well worth it.

Boundaries don't come with gurantees that you will never feel hurt or pain again. And then again, your barriers didn't either.
Boundaries allow you to see that Life and Love are not your enemies, but rather, your patient teachers.

Boundaries allow you to live that Amazing Life that you could not experience inside you barricaded heart.

So break out the sledgehammer and start tearing down those walls.

Or you could just make a door and walk right out!

In life we can easily become caught in the current of our daily affairs and the things that seem to require our constant attention.

Because we live so much of our lives on the surface, we may forget to look at what lies beneath the illusion of life's content.

Dr. Wayne Dyer says that the ego teaches us these (6) things:
(1) I am what I have
(2) I am what I do
(3) I am what others think of me
(4) I am separate from what's missing in my life
(5) I am separate from everyone else
(6) I am separate from God

Like Dorthy in the Wizard Oz or the Knight's of King Arthur's Quest, our egos lead us a merry chase looking for happiness and fulfillment over the next horizon.

We quests, endlessly asking everyone who'll listen, "Do you have my ruby slippers?"

My dear Sisters, the truth is that you already contain within you the Holy Grail and all the treasures of the Emerald City.
The ruby slippers have been there all along, put them on and remember, "There's no place like home!"

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! Laugh at the threats of the Wicked Witch and slay the dragon of your own inner fears.

Your are made of earth....and you are made of sky!
You are the hero of this story!
Lay claim to whatever it is you may feel you are missing and then BE it!

Need more Love?
Give more Love.
Need more Prosperity?
Give of the abundance of your time and talent.

Acknowledge the sacred within you everyday through whatever spiritual practice resonates with you.

Trust that there is nothing missing and be grateful for all that you have!

Then you will drink from the Holy Grail and like Dorthy you will be transported and transformed!

In situations of uncertainty and times of darkness...
In times of discord, confusion or loneliness; ask yourself
"Where is love possible?"

It is important to learn to ask big questions and have the courage to hear the answers.

Though each of us is infinitely loved and supported by God and the Universe; we will still experience moments of extreme pain, sorrow and suffering.

Because we are spiritual beings having a human experience, there will be those moments that we will feel our humanity acutely.

You will be tempted to ask "why?"
Why is not a big enough question.

Ask instead, "What is this experience here to teach me?", and "Where is love possible?"

No matter what the experience remember that Love is always possible!

LightWorkers, Healers, Way-Showers and Beautiful Souls...be not weary of well doing.
We need your Rain.

Whenever I grow weary, and forget who I am, and what my mission is on earth. I grumble into the Beloved's ear that nothing I offer makes a difference...

She reminds me I AM an Instrument of the Rainmaker:

I rain
Because your meadows call
For God.

He whispers that we are all Channels of LIGHT:

I weave Light into words so that
When your mind holds them
Your eyes will relinquish their sadness,
Turn bright, a little brighter, giving to us

On 11.11.11
I was feeling the Shift!
For me, it felt akin to the anticipation of Christmas Day and the fresh start feeling New Year's Eve!

I was involved in a wonderful cleansing and renewal ceremony at the home of a friend. Among other wonderful exercises engaged in that night, we set 11 intentions.

One of my intentions was:
"To experience myself as a Miracle, to welcome Miracles into my life with open arms; and to experience Miracles in, around and through me."

When you set an intention and infuse it with your heartfelt emotions of love, joy, and excitement..the Universe will align itself to meet your expectation!

One of the awarenesses I've gotten is:
That in order to experience Miracles you've got to be willing to see them.

I got a new set of eyes. Miracles are everywhere! The second awareness is:
You have to pay attention.

We are so conditioned to give our attention to the unextraordinary, that we miss the magical!

Seemingly small things like the bright, green praying mantis and the lady bugs on my porch yesterday; might escape the attention of the untrained eye.

Today, I was chosen to be a panel guest member on Rikka Zimmerman's radio show. We were given a call-in number and no other details prior.

When Rikka came on the line, she explained that the show was about Infinite Gratitude and guess what? MIRACLES! (The two of these go hand in hand you know...Infinite Gratitude and Miracles!)

You are a living, breathing, walking talking MIRACLE!
What if you could live from that space? Can you see the openings that would create for you?

I am creating and keeping a Miracle Journal in which I will record the wonder of experiencing myself in this most magical and miraculous way!

I am Infinitely Grateful for what shows up. Choosing to release judgment and become the Observer. If you are courageous enough to make this choice...then make way for Miracles and Magic!

Here is a story told often at AA meetings:
A man fell off a cliff, but as he fell he grabbed a branch growing out of a cliff wall. Alas! The weight was to much and the branch started to come loose.

Knowing that he was in danger of falling to his death, the man begin to cry out for help. When no one answered, at long last he cried out to God.

The voice of God came over the cliff saying, "You want help? Well, if you are really a believer, I will help you."

The man begin to bargain with God. "I will go to church every Sunday, give up drinking and smoking...etc."

"Well, God says, that's not really what I want."

As the branch begin to slip further, the man cries out to God, "Whatever you want I will do! Just tell me what you want!"

"Let go of the branch." God replied.

After a minute of silence, the man cries out..."Is there anybody else up there?"

The power is always in the letting go!

What is your "branch' today? Is it a toxic relationship, a job or as simple as the familiar routine of going through your life asleep at the wheel?

At some point, Love calls on us to trust.

Love calls us to trust in the face of all of the evidence that we have gathered to the contrary, that there is an island of peace and safety.

Holding on keeps us focused on peace and safety as something we can find and experience outside ourselves if only the darn branch will hold.

Love calls us to trust that we can make good choices and experience... good and beauty and sweetness in life.

And, only if we "let go of the branch"!

Let go of our need to know and to control the content of our lives and dictate the outcome of Love's plans for us.

Let go of our attachments to the illusion of the security. Let go of withholding and withdrawing and running away from Love, from ourselves and feeling our truest feelings.

There is no Healing without letting go, for they are one and the same!

You will not fall to your death if you let go, and you will surely experience death (suffering) if you continue to hold onto your branch.

And you will have the opportunity to practice this over and over...an over again. And you will do it easy and you will do it hard.

Doesn't matter how you do it...just LET GO!

In the last post of this series we discussed the difference between longing and desire.

Longing has its focus on lack or what is missing. Like wishing, it places us in a position of limited possibility. What you focus on grows larger. Inside the web of longing, one tends to feel powerless to change their circumstance.

Desire is of the Father… it is the Formless Consciousness from which we create the life we choose. Desire is the stirring within your soul for All that tends toward Life. Desire is a place of Infinite Possibilities and Power! Inside desire lay the seeds of Wholeness and the key to the Authority of the Concious Co-Creator.

From the space of our God-Realized desire, we may “Lead with our Light”!

Knowing, that everything you need lies inside the Kingdom within and is already in your possession, you are at peace!

We create, or uncover desire from becoming present to what it is we want in the deepest way possible. When you are ready to Lead With Your Light, you will seek:

•Not the gift...but the Giver
•Not the thing…but the state of consciousness from which it arises

Life is consciousness. Life is spiritual not physical.

To the degree to which we can understand these basic Truths, we will create the life we want.

Remember that you already create the life that you choose consciously or unconsciously. Whether you live as a beggar or a monarch inside your Kingdom is up to you.

Do you desire joy, peace, wealth, luxury, security or opulence? No matter, they are all within you.

Access your desire through your emotion! Feel the experience of joy, peace, wealth or whatever you desire.

Emotion = Energy in Motion

Many of us are used to the emotions of depression, lack, sadness and confusion. Expand your consciousness to include your natural state of Being. Feast on the feelings that tend toward Life!

“How do I do this?”, you may ask. Practice is the answer.

Proverbs 4:23
“Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.”

As you shape your consciousness with your feelings of love, joy and gratitude you cannot fail to change your world!

The lessons of Love are many and splendid things.
I am learning moment by moment that...
Love does not hurt.

My youngest daughter is home from school and she has chosen to be my Teacher reflecting to me my judgments and insecurities about myself.

My partner and I argue and I swallow my own needs and desires so that I will not be judged as "wrong" or "less than."

Love is teaching me the true meaning of courage in the face of my own fears. The relationship mirror does not show you the image of the other...

There is no other...there is only you.

We are the queen who stands in the reflection of our inner critic, and those who we find to prove to us that Love hurts.

We stand with bated breath, asking for the approval and acceptance that only Love can grant.

"Mirror, Mirror on the wall...
Who's the fairest of them all?"

No matter who speaks from behind the glass; a lover, a parent, or a child...the words only echo our own fears and self-doubt.

I challenge you to look beyond the talking head into the depths of your own soul. Listen with ears that hear Love'scall.

A Course In Miracles teaches us that every attack is a plea for Love, and every thought that we are not enough or somehow unworthy...is Love's opposite.

You, who give away your power and in doing so, strengthen the bars of your self-made prison cell...

It is time to love yourself free!

Because of Love, you have courage enough to look into the mirror and answer Love's call!

Teach only love, for that is what you are.

Love does not hurt!

We all experience a dark night of the soul. If you are wise you will learn that these experiences come with priceless lessons that can transform life as you know it.

During one such night in my own life, I had an opportunity to heal some issues I've had around lack and money. It allowed me to see patterns and identify core beliefs that I've had for many years. I also begin to see how they have contributed to an underlying sense of longing and need that was there just under the surface.

Longing is defined as: “Strong, persistent craving, a yearning especially for something unattainable or distant.” I knew all about “longing” now I wanted to learn how to “desire”.

The word desire actually means… of the Father.

Desire is a strong feeling, worthy or unworthy, that impels to the attainment or possession of something that is (in reality or imagination) within reach: a desire for success.

Most of us confuse “Longing” and “Desire”. They are two very different things!

Longing = unattainable and out of reach. It’s the carrot that the ego dangles in front of you on a constant basis just out of reach.

Desire = attainable and within reach. Desires are of the Father and originate from Source.

Longing keeps the focus on what’s missing.

Focusing on lack creates more lack!

Inside longing, you operate from a place of “neediness” and you don’t truly believe that what you ask for is possible for you anyway. When you put this energy out into the world people feel it and you come across as inauthentic and self-serving.

Desire gives attention to that which you already possess whether or not it has become manifest in the tangible world yet.

Inside desire you are present to every wonderful possibility!

You know you already have what you have requested from the Source.

Instead of “busyness” and struggle you feel an ease and a natural flow.

Instead of leading with your need, you lead with your Light!

When you put this energy out into the world, everything you create works! People respond readily to your love and authenticity!

You create from a place of wholeness knowing that nothing is missing or lacking and that energy is returned to you in kind!

So in closing:

•Practice releasing resistance to your desires!
•Let longing go!
•Lead with your Light!

Yesterday was a day that will go down in history for those of us living on the East Coast. Many of us experienced our first earthquake. Yes, you heard me right! A 5.9 on the Richter Scale! It came without warning, introductions or explanation.

I was on the phone with my sister when the rumbles began. It sounded like a freight train coming down the middle of my street. So foreign was the concept of “earthquake” to my experience, that I ran outside convinced that the source of the shaking must be something, anything but what it actually was.

Mumbling to my sister, “I’ll call you right back”, I hung up the phone in a daze. The earth stopped moving, but my mind was reeling in the aftermath of the sheer power of this experience!

There are words in a sacred text which declare “All that can be shaken will be shaken so that which cannot be moved will remain…”

Circumstances in life can appear suddenly with no apparent warning of which we are consciously aware shaking us to our core.

Circumstances requiring our immediate and undivided attention which can leave us dazed, numb or paralyzed with fear wondering what just happened?

When the “aftershocks” have passed, at last we turn within to the business of rebuilding and putting ourselves and our lives back together.

For those open to the gifts present in the hand of even the most adverse circumstances, something solidifies and creates a kind of fortitude that becomes immovable and unshakeable!

Consider the following text from Matthew 27: 51-53

51 Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, 52 and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; 53 and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

Metaphysically, quakes represents a "Shift”.

A movement from one mindset to another, a change from one course of action to another, a testing of stability and a separation of that which is temporal from that which is eternal.

The old way of being, the graves, are opened and the mind is freed and resurrected. We are transformed and the veil of the illusion of separation between us and that which is Holy is rent in two.

The rocks of old core beliefs, behaviors and patterns… those things that no longer serve us are split and the sleeper awakens.

Having been transformed, we seek to become vessels of transformation. We remember once again, humbled by the Power of our quake and empowered by its passing, that we are Conscious Co-Creators with God in our own lives. We remember that we are here to be about our Father’s business as citizens of the Holy City!

We appear unto ourselves as the Perfect, Whole and Light-filled beings that we truly are at our very core, no longer entangled by the seductions of our lives as something that we… and we alone control.

I close with a quote from the Tao:

Tao #16 ~ Cycles / Circles

Empty your mind of thought
dwell in DivineUnity
being
Serenity

Watch the web of life
weave into existence
all that we observe
all moves within a circle
all life returns
to the roots in the soil

Source of serenity

Beloved know this when lifequakes come…

That which can be shaken has been created in order that what cannot be shaken may remain.
