Youth are our future generation and it is up to us to provide them with the tools they need in order to reach their hightest potential.

Thank you for joining me in my mission to inspiring young women to be the best they can be.

If there is anything I can do to help make your dreams and goals a reality please let me know.

Wishing you all a bright and productive day filled with God's abundant blessings.

I am with you. I work with parents of tweens and teens to use good communication skills to develop a generation of confident, self-aware, youths with bright, fulfilling futures.

I realize this a huge endeavor, however, I believe it is worth it. I would love to collaborate with you on this mission.

God Bless.

Shelley,
I wish you the best of luck, this is a very hard age group to reach with the media focused on bad behavior and trashy, bad girl, vanity issues and ect.
Not saying it cant be done however it truly does take a village and a lot more people like you to get it done.I will do whatever i can to help direct you and answer any questions you may have.
Keep your chin up never quit and keep one foot in front of the other and you will be a success as you already are.

Respectfully,
Antoniak

Hello,

My name is Joann and I am in the right place at the right time. Wow! Empowering young women has been my motto. My heart yearns to do the very same thing so many of you are doing and have a desire to do.

I am 52 yrs of age and have mentored a couple of young women closely, and shared with many from a distance. I believe whole heartly that this is my purpose for living and my soul yearns for it more and more daily.

Being a teen parent myself and facing the ups and downs of being a single parent, a divoree, a widow, a careprovider to many, and a lung cancer survival I believe I have a wealth of experience to share.

My biggest problem seems to be I have no idea where to start. Thus far I only have a associate degree in Psychology and not in the position to further my education. My lack of education amongst other distractions has causes me to feel I can not accomplish my goal. I often think it is a negative force within me that is keeping me from fulfilling God's purpose for my life.

Besides that, my goal has always been to teach and advocate from a spiritual realm because I am nothing without God and therefore, can not do anything without him.

Today I am seeking clarity because regardless to the distractions I have enncounted when I am alone and in the stillness of my being my heart always converts back to being an advocate for young women. My soul cries out simply thinking about it.

Ms. Conrad do you think mentoring and advocating for young women is actually my calling. Do anyone believe that it is a strong possibility that I can fulfill my purpose without furthering my education and if so please provide me with advice on how I can make it happen.

Questions are open to everyone. I personally thought about volunteering in a shelter that service young women and children. Thinking perhaps the children of the parents seeking help could also receive some that could also assist them in being productive and strong individuals in the mist of their parents receiving help by starting with building self-worth.

This is my thought , but I am open to ideas because it may seem that I have it together, yet I fall so short :( Because after receiving the confirmation and information steppin out on faith will be my challenge. I will then need a mentor myself :8}, Any willing applicants ;\?

I am starting a GA's group and ACt-teens group for the young girls and young Teen girls at our church. I would appreciate any info I can get to help me with this!! I love working with young ladies as they are our future. What I do is teach them about missions and all about missionary work. We need so many to go out now and the best way to do that is to train them while they are young.

Hi, Shelley, I congradulate you.... on your vision and plans for empowering young women from ages 13- 20. This is an excellent cause and such a crucial time now to reach our young people. These young women can perhaps get a new age approach on things that they feel they might enjoy discussing, yet and still have sound values. Because believe it or not, those values our parents taught us, can still hold strong and work with today’s teens. If there is anything I can do, please feel free to ask, because children are something close to my heart. And these young women will one day be adult women and have families of their own one day and It's so much that can be done and said today to reach our young people. At the tender age of 13 is a good time to start with young women they are so bright, I just love listening to them. And even better.... when you can get their attention, hold it, and have then listen to you. (l.o.l.) To take in what we as adults might have to say, can be a challenge at times, yet still rewarding. So I just love this Shelley and I wish you all the best!.... in your future endeavors my braveheart sister.
who knows....the little bravehearts, can become, big bravehearts, one day...:)

Hi Shelley, I too have that same mission, but haven't started anything other than my teen self-esteem t-shirt series. My future plans involve writing a little inspirational booklet using my own teenage experience as a guide and recording personal messages on youtube. You can view my t-shirts at http://www.sayinsomethangtees.spreadshirt.com

I really feel strongly about inspiring teenage girls between the ages of 13-20. Braveheart women need to embrace and encourage our sisters.

Winifred..
Thanks for sharing your passion about working with teenage girls. It is so needed based on the images all over the media about the challenges and struggles that these girls are faced with.

Reflecting on my own teenage years in Liberia, West Africa I was viewed as the big mouth child. I was given this name because I would speak out my feelings and this was not norm in my `community. Children were seeing and not heard that was what the adults would say to the children. My big mouth resulted into parents not allowing the girls to connect with me because "speaking out with my authentic voice meant I was being rude. It was a very painful experience because I wanted to be with my friends.

I which groups like yours were around then, to educate, motivate and inspire me then. I made it through but the journey was rough.

Blessings and joy, Winnie

Shelley,

Awesome mission. I too have a passion for empowering teen girls and young women. I formed Girls Living Life On Purpose, Inc in 2005 and we have been able to do some great things in our community. I would love to help in any way that I can.

Hello, my name is Judy and I support with words and deeds a NGO (non-government organization) that mentors young women in the 13-20 age group to become self-reliant, self-supporting and most importantly, self-worthy. We are in Guatemala and our organization is Starfish One By One. We are in our third year and have about 100 young women who have professional goals, families who have committed to support their educational goals in the family sense, not in the financial sense and who have blossomed under our very eyes. I'd like to connect with others who understand that the young women in developing countries and in first world countries, are the saviours of our society!
