I have learned a lot in the sixty-one years I have been on my "journey." I have reaped a lot of wisdom. A near-death experience has shown me that everything we think is important isn't. I came to know the power of the Master and in the hem of His gown, I am happy to be. I took a leap to find happiness and was blessed beyond measure. I am an artist and a poet. I am writing a novel. I am happy with this part of the path upon which I tread.

Dear spiritedla,

I taught special education students from k-young adult, and for the last 2 years have directed an education and enrichment service for preschool-senior.

My new plans include substitute teaching with alternative, charter, and private schools. I'm looking forward to it and can also service other clients on the side.

If you are ready to retire you can still substitute teach when you want to, or take this time to pursue your passion, whether or not it includes teaching or another venture. Listen to your inner voice in the quiet, which is the Holy Spirit guiding you.

Thank you for your response to the e-mail post that rijita send today, Sunday July 12. I also am waking every day and saying thank you to God. I also am hard headed like you indicated you are and I can definitely make my own path, which may not be where God wants me to go. I will be looking for your blogs and discussions points.

Good Morning! I just joined today and saw your photo. Wow, you look happy! Good luck with your novel. I have had to wear my big girl pants many times and I am still growing into them. I hope to write a few children's stories in the next few years and also publish a book of photographs. I teach full time and am a mother of 3, so soon I will take the reins and gallop into my dreams like you are doing!
