Whats the biggest challenge to growing your business?

Whats the biggest challenge to growing your business?

There are so many creative passionate women who want to make a difference via their footprint, and so they start a small business. Whether you are in healing arts, coaching, financial services or any other small solo-business venture- what do you see as the biggest challenge or biggest obstacles you need to overcome in yourself?

I have also just started an online business. I now have to figure out how to get a mailing list. This is my next hurdle to overcome. I know I will.

Thanks for listening,

My biggest challenge is myself! As they say in the episode on "Cellular Memory" ... I need to believe that I want to succeed and retrain the cellular reactions to an external "story" of what is prosperity. I can do this if I empower myself with the education, tools , support and inspiration from others who are struggling and overcoming. When I develop ( un-learn old patterns ) mu business will flourish because I am meant to make an impact in the health of others in this life of mine.

My challenge is marketing for new customers and FOCUS. I started my small online boutique business 2 years ago while working full time. After being laid off, I decided to focus on my business and be my own boss. Well, now the challenges of running my business has sort of took the fun of "shopping" :o)

I have hits to my website, but no purchases. I'm thinking of restructuring my business to utilize my Gemologist background. I wonder if this is a good move. I know I have to sell the existing inventory before making any changes to my company.

Does anyone have suggestions, ideas, or advise on this?

Thank you,
Evelyn

I guess my biggest challenge is trying to figure out how to market. I have an E-book...I am trying to get some money together to publish it on paper. I created my own website....www.myraysoflight.com

I use twitter and facebook to try and get movement. My website has been up since Aug and has over 900 hits...but few sales. I don't know what I am doing wrong exactly

Getting more customers. I think I am doing everything I can short of spending enormous amounts of money. I network both in-person and online, and I am very active in social media. I belong to several local organizations. Many people know of or have heard of my business, but we are just not bringing in enough income to sustain us.

I think I could most benefit from either more creative ways of marketing the company or better sales skills. I am not a sales person, so I may not have the drive that a true sales person possesses. I can explain why you need our services, how I can help you grow your business, but when I meet with resistance I tend to back down. I think we could also benefit form more creative ways of marketing the business, either with email marketing, giveaways, etc.

There are many 'angel' investors that may want to help out an upstart such as yours. I know of a few in the Boston area, but I believe I also know a local RI woman, that if you don't already know her, she seems like she might be a good local resource: Pat Paolino Cruz, http://www.snewoman.com http://www.patcruz.com.

Good luck and feel free to connect with me on FB, LinkedIn and Twitter, I meet a lot of people through networking, maybe I can make a connection for you.

I would say my biggest challenge is dealing with all the "icky stuff" that comes up as you are putting yourself out there.....the limiting beliefs that need to be shifted and of course, my relationship to money...which is shifting...slowly but surely...LOL!

Blessings,

Elaine

Money Is MY only road block=( I need roughly 4.5 million dollars to buy and renovate a 60,000 sft ft mill built in 1891. I want to develop the space into a state of the art, health and wellness athletics complex with an art gallery and retail and holistics, and call it ~Inspire~ so if by chance you know of anyone or any company looking to invest that kind of cash into my vision, my dream, my business, please, send 'em my way,=)) no bs just a women trying to make her footprint in the sand=) God Bless~

I can totally relate to not wanting to do the "sales aspect" of your business (I hate "selling" too), but I think you may want to rethink that. Look at it this way: No one else will feel the same way you do about your business, therefore no one else can bring the passion and dedication and deep down belief or enthusiasm in the same way that you do. And until you get out there and start "telling not selling" people about your business, you won't be able to relate to the challenges that your sales employees will face once you've trained them and set them loose to spread the word. Just my 2 cents...

If there is a way for you to start considering that you are not selling, but in fact telling someone about you and your business and why they would want to use your services as someone else.

I have been where you are before and I just stopped thinking of myself as selling. I realized that if you feel like you are selling then you may not be that sold on your self or your product.

Its telling not selling..

My biggest challenge is the sales aspect.

I'm a creative non-confrontational type personality and the thought of "selling" makes me cringe.

I own a creative/event marketing company so my potential clients are all other business owners.
I've joined networking groups and done some word of mouth and internet marketing but I need a sales person to go after clients and bid on jobs.

I'm just choosing to believe that a client big enough to generate enough income for me to hire a sales person will fall into my lap.

I know what I'm good at and I have no desire or time to dedicate to learning sales.

I have a home-based, direct sales business. Some of my challenges are being consistent with my time and efforts and networking to meet new prospects. I am somewhat new to the area I live and, although I have joined a womens business networking group, it's been slow-going meeting people. My business is Internet based so I have been exploring various online venues for meeting new people.
