Thank you Deborah,
It is all about not looking at what could have been, rather than looking at what we have NOW and where we can make a positive impact! I am so impressed with how you have moved forward and are such a positive influence on your grandchildren.
No more pity parties! I LOVE that!

I didn't teach my children this when they were growing up and no one taught it to me. Now I have an opportunity to instill this into my grands who are now growing up. Good info.

Linda,
I have met your son and was impressed by his mature, gentle nature. It is important to establish good habits that will help our children make good decisions as they become adults. Also, to help them create the type of character that we stand in awe and say with love- "That is my child and I am so humbled to have been able to guide them. Look at him now! WOW!"
Thank yo sharing your thoughts and story!
Here's to being a Passion Parent (and YOU surely are a Passion Parent!)

Hi Christine...
The concept of teaching our children about finances so impacts their future. As a passionate parent, a similar "financial plan" was established with our son at a very early age. He had 3 jars to divide his gift money - one for his bank savings account (50%), one for something special (25%), and another for "fun" money (25%). It was an empowering process for him. Plus during the Christmas holiday season, two children's names were selected - one from the "Anonymous Santa" tree at the local bank and the second from another charity source. Now at age 19 (almost) he is a dedicated "saver" for his future, and since he is working and earning a salary, he is more responsible about the value of money.
The lessons we establish when our children are young DO make a difference. Always stand true to your guidance knowing the new beginnings we provide for opportunities lead to a successful future for our children.
