I have been interested in the case of Wendy Maldonado since seeing the documentary "One Minute To Nine," and felt that this might be the place to share information about this woman and find others interested in her case and helping her. I'm sure many will be as saddened as I was by a life of 20 years of incredible physical abuse of Wendy herself, and her children, at the hands of her husband. Finally, they could take no more, and killed the husband, feeling this was the only way to escape. She and her son are now imprisoned for what many would say was self defense.

Wendy and her son killed the husband who had beaten them "Every (Bleeping) day of her life," to quote Wendy's comments to the 911 dispatcher she called. I cried for her and her children as I listened to their stories. No human beings should have to live with this level of fear and violence.

Both she and her son, who, IMO, had terrible legal counsel, are now doing hard time in prison for their action, which they insist was the only way they could truly be free from this man's reach.
