Identity....

"Identity is a known issue. Media, Mentors, Parents, Teachers, Pastors and the list goes on as far as who provides input into who we are.

We need to pull away from the project and look within self and get to know yourself. Dear friend there is but one that owns the patent on your life: The creator. Seek him, meditate and get to know yourself. Know your likes, know your dislikes, know what excites you, know what upsets you, know your limits....."

This is an passage from my book that is coming out soon...

I love the title of your new book! It speaks volumes about how one is "robbed." I am feeling that way less often, but for me it is my "integrety," that fuels the fire of my recent struggle. What I believed, was beneath me, is not so low, afterall. Keeping my purpose clear, and letting go of what seems like surmountable odds, has only strengthened my belief that , no cause is lost, if there is but one fool to believe in it! I used to battle with myself, but I have never been one to not look the accuser squarely in the eye, and practice peaceful commitment to my course.
There are still two sets of rules, "out there," and the "cons" never really worked for me......but it is the statis- quo, and I have learned to recognize the deceit before it does anymore damage to the life I've been trying to rebuild. My Identity is securely wrapped in my own survival now, and at times, all I have is my identity of life.. I look forward to the release of your new book.

I have been there. in the 1960s, as an immigrant woman I found myself in an abusing marriage. Women had no voice back then, we were barely breaking into the job market, so getting divorced was almost impossible. Besides the legal system was overwhelmingly masculine, as was industry where my husband worked. I did finally get a job and manage to get out of the marriage that nearly cost my life. Little did I know that I would be judged the errant party, for I should have stayed in the marrige. I was now a divorcee in a male dominated industry, subjected to sexual harassment.
Slowly women gained some power, thanks mostly for female lawyers who's fathers were proud of having given their daughters a good education.
Never give up. Usually there is light at the end of the tunnel. Harassment downgrading of women is still a reality, albeit subtly. We have not yet arrived.
